Manhattan High has remarkable teachers. They are able to keep to students motivated. Learning is challenging, yet not stressful. As with any peer groups, I think there can be some problems between students. However, the schools job is to educate, and not parent. Manhattan High has an excellent teaching staff.

I graduated from MHS not too many years back. I would say overall the majority of the teachers were very good at their jobs. There were only a few that didn't actually teach you the material and just expected you to understand it on your own which was very frustrating. The school was and still is very small and cliques were formed easily. A lot of the teachers had favorites..this included the principal. If you had the right last name or had wealthy parents you fit in just fine but if not it was more difficult to feel accepted. This was especially true with sports. The staff kept you in line that's for sure but sometimes it was just overkill. The dress code was enforced on most students but not all. Options for different classes to sign up for were very limited also. The most positive attribute of the high school is it is a very safe environment with nice, caring teachers who seemed to enjoy their jobs.
