Woodlake is an amazing elementary school. The teachers work the kids to help them further their education. Ive had three children go to Woodlake and wouldnt send them anywhere else.

I have had two children attend Woodlake Elementary and couldn't be more pleased. I still have my son currently attending and I have to say he has improved dramatically! My son was in IEP/SE classes and thanks to a very dedicated staff and teachers he is now out of all special resource classes. It truly has been a blessing to see his rapid growth and his excitement to go to school everyday! I am also involved in the wonderful PTA at Woodlake Elementary and this school gushes family and community. Keep up the great work!

I was SHOCKED to read the negative views! My guess is they never spent much time at the school observing what really happens. Thanks to the PTA and the administration there are many opportunities throughout the day to be a part of your child's school day. Being are part of the "action" is the best way by far to know what is going on and to let your child know that you feel their school is important to you. I am not saying Woodlake is perfect, no school is! But with most things in life, you get out of it what you put into it! My son is part of the multiage program and we are beyond thrilled it!

I am impressed with the quality of education. Being a parent who wanted to keep my daughter in private school, when moving, I was not easily convinced to send her to Woodlake Elementary, a public school. After hearing so many wonderful things I gave it a chance. Am I glad I did. She attends a multi age class, which has so many wonderful benefits. She has progressed so rapidly, I was stunned. The material send home is very well updated, information is received timely for you to go over some mistakes if they occur. Communication with the teacher is easy and fast, which makes me feel comfortable that if ever I have a question, I don't tweak over it too long. PTA is excellent, great parent involvement and strong community orientated. As in every school, whether it is public or private there are some bully problems, when the teacher and principal are made aware of issues, they were addressed on the spot. I was pleased and so was my daughter. The teachers have a very good program to keep good behavior on track and it comes with rewards. It helps, but sometimes it is up to the parents to instill consequences also. I have become a Woodlake fan and so is my proud Pelican girl!

This school is a mess. Keep your child away! It sure has ruined my child's outlook on school.

Let me just start out by saying.. I'm military and I CANNOT wait to get my son out of this school. At this school a second grader slapping a kindergartener in the face is not a big deal, bullying is overlooked and parents are kept in the dark! Thank GOD my son is able to communicate with me or I would be clueless as to what goes on!!!

This is my son's second year at Woodlake Elementary. We have been very pleased. There are some things I would change and that is why my husband and I have become involved. They have a very active PTA, even if you work full time you can find a way to make a difference.

I love Woodlake. My daughter was in kindergarten last year and is in a multi-age class this year. We have had such a wonderful experience. She is very shy around new people. Woodlake has helped build her confidence and self-esteem.
