The school is well kept and most of the staff and teachers are good. My child is in special education and has not done well in this environment. My child comes home on a daily upset by teachers and the overall feeling like they are not good enough. I think that more attention to resource/SE classes should be taken into consideration. They have many extras and programs but they are severely understaffed to implement these programs in an effective way. The SE/Resource teachers are doing the best they can and are very nice. I feel like the sense of a fun, encouraging learning environment is absent from this school. The absence of availability of extra classes like art, music, etc to SE/Resource classes is very discouraging as well. Overall, I am happy with the school but feel there is a lot of room for improvement.

After being a former student at this place that they call a school. I can say that is by far the worst school I've attended. Their principal (at the time I was enrolled in this school). Was mean and treated me like a was an inmate at a prison. All I can say is I hated my three years at Mandeville Middle School. And also, school uniforms don't help the students, it makes them more rebellious. Students should be allowed to express themselves not be tied down to a stupid blue dress shirt and pants.
