My kids have done really well learning, but my son has been lost 3 times now by the school in 3 months and one time we weren’t even told it happened. I also have witnessed 2 other children being lost as well with other teachers locating the children. They used to have an 8 rating and are now down to 6 and I get it. Some teachers are really organized and amazing with the kids…other teachers are struggling and it shows. I’m happy with my kids progress but overall not a great experience. All of the events at this school are chaotic and seem disorganized, which we expect a little bit at an elementary. A lot of communication is last minute..maybe the day before telling us to dress the kids up special. The office staff has repetitively refused to walk my kids to class when they were confused where to go. Good luck!

We can only speak for Pre-K, Kindergarten, DLI, and special education: our kids love it here and we're so happy to be a part of Chavez. We have one kid in their Kindergarten DLI with Ms. Cami and Ms. V, they are so so great. Ms. Melissa in Pre-K is so great with our other busy kiddo. My kinder kid loves all their "specials" classes with Art, Music, and Gym. The special ed team assigned to one of my kids in Pre-K are also just amazing. Ms. Carissa, Ms. Maureen are so attentive and patient with our IEP kiddo. The PTO group here works hard! We've enjoyed movie nights, book fair, restaurant fundraising, and so much more. Also to note, they have a great big playground area. It's tucked away from the main road. With plenty of areas to park for pickup. The front staff also have been very helpful and patient with our family. Diversity and inclusion is high here. I can't say enough amazing things about this school and hope to convey what these "ratings" don't on sites like these.

excellent school, very attentive and helpful teachers. the children look happy and their facilities are very nice.

This is a great neighborhood school with a community feel. The teachers are not only experienced and excellent, they truly care about the students they teach.

No complaints whatsoever, very happy with this school for our child, and another will be going there in a few years. Nice building, great staff.
