This school is the worst school I have ever encountered. I hate that my son is in this district and actually moving just to get him out of this school. I warned by other district staff about Irons but decided to gain my own experience with them, from day one its nothing but lies and drama from the staff and principal. You might as well go sit your kids on Ave Q then send them to this trash.

As a father that tried to send my kid to this school please listen. This is the worst run school. I met with Principal Duncan 3 separate times. First he seemed genuine and wanted to address my concerns, but nothing was done. Second he was dismissive and got argumentative when I asked why my kid needs to fear for there safety while attending. Third he was visibly angry and began accusing my kid of being a problem, I asked how he claimed my child had started fights and was cussing at other students. I asked for proof, and stated that when I had met or emailed with ALL of my kids teachers, none of them had anything negative to say. They all stated that my child tried in there classroom and actively attempted to stay out of the way of the other students that were causing issues. He said he had video, I asked to see and he yelled for me to get out of his office and his school.I understand kids are kids and not everyone has the easiest time in school, and often teachers and administrators often have there hands tied. This is not the case here. Principal Tommy Duncan is the issue. He wants to paint this school as perfect. Nobody is asking for a perfect school, just accountability.I have reported to LISD with recordings of the meetings with Tommy Duncan, pictures of bruises and cuts my child received at the school, and emails from his former teachers at the school. Please transfer your children from this school, there are many other districts for your children. We are at Cooper now and are very happy. Do not let your children go here till Tommy Duncan is no longer in charge.

We recently moved to Texas. The principal, counselor, and front desk, are wonderful, we have never experienced such a friendly helpful staff. Thank you for all your help.

This is the best school ever! Because it has a green campus, excellent teachers and no bullies. Students can handle difficult things.

Irons is the best school around! Excellent teachers and staff. No bullies or dangerous people. Great art, band, orchestra, choir, and school subjects. We have a green campus and lots of hard work and serious fun. Most of us are smart and know how to behave. We are also excellent in sports. We usually come in 1st or 2nd in sports. Irons knows what to do and we can do competative stuff. We have a strong student and staff chain that is unbreakable. Irons is number one.
