I couldn't be happier with my son's progress in reading, writing, and establishing basic math skills as he is in kindergarten. The curriculum is excellent and the community is welcoming. Looking forward to the future!

Hellenic American Academy has a great potential, but too much school cancellations are made throughout the year. Parents need to be extremely flexible with their schedules. Their cancellations are not based on the school needs but on Lowell Public Schools policy and decisions. Also, the days cancelled are not made up at the end of school year. Too many half-days and many others half-days are made though out the year, that are not included in the school calendar, but “last minute decided”. It’s just unfortunate for a school with such great potential.

This school is not accredited. They do not have teachers that with college degrees or experience. My child will not be returning. They need to learn not play.

Im proud to be an Alumni of the HAA, the HAA paved the way for me in many ways. The most important obviously for me was how they prepared me to succeed academically but I do owe the HAA a tremendous amount of gratitude also for instilling me with great values, such as respect, faith, culture etc. I look forward to sending me kids to the HAA not only to follow in my footsteps but exceed them and I do believe that the HAA will give them the tools to do so.

Our experience has been phenomenal for our two boys and our family. We feel at home at the Hellenic American Academy and our family looks forward to continuing this tradition with our third son in a few years!

Great Community school that feels like family. My children were fortunate to have had some wonderful teachers along the way. One in particular that is still a constant and always goes above and beyond is Mrs. Maria Booras, she is dedicated to helping the students understand what she is teaching in a fun learning environment. Always seeking out new effective ways to teach her students. We were lucky to have her for pre-school and then later in the 5th grade. Her love of the Greek language and culture and traditions is apparent whether you see her students perform traditional Greek dances, to reciting poems in Greek or the plays she puts on. She is truly Amazing and is in it for her students. The Hellenic American Academy is like Family!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Mrs. Maria Booras. Both of my daughters have her as their Greek teacher at the Hellenic American Academy. She’s amazing at what she does and how she is able to teach the students about the Greek language, culture and traditions. She has the ability to successfully teach the Greek language to children with no Greek background. It’s so impressive to watch the children perform Greek songs, dances and poems during the special family programs the school offers. She is the heart and soul of the school!! I highly recommend the Hellenic American Academy! The school is a gem and it offers the best education and learning environment for my daughters. The Hellenic American Academy community is wonderful!! The sense of community allows our children to go to a safe and nurturing school where the students feel a sense of belonging. Children are able to thrive and become confident students.

The school has a welcoming atmosphere for all who enter. Teachers welcome their students and families. Communication is an important part of the day. Parents are kept informed of their children's progress. Curriculum is constantly reviewed and updated. All strive for the best education for all students.

The Hellenic American Academy is a wonderful school with caring teachers who instill the love of learning to students. The close knit community makes you feel like you are part of an extended family. We love HAA!

I am so happy I decided to bring my 4 year old to this school. She has come home everyday so happy and excited to tell me all she has learned and how great her teachers are. She has had difficulty in her old school and needed more stimulation. Since staring here she has already started sounding out words, singing in Greek, and learning how to be a great student!

I left the hellenic two years ago, due to family reasons, but let me just tell you how great of a school it is. Great education, the best family enviornment in any school, and very cultural. great education- Every class we discussed a new topic, which allowed us to learn at a very high pace. Extra help was also there if you needed it. Family- this is the best part about this school. Everyone- the staff, teachers, and students, were friends with each other. Everyone had confidence in themselves and each other. No one was left out/bullied. cultural-being greek, this school was a dream come true. A lot more cultural and family oriented than the catholic school I went to. From church, to the programs, to greek class, to the "glentia" (parties). It was just awesome. All in all it was the best 10 years of my life. I consider my old classmates as family, and still talk to about 75% of them. This school is fantastic. It is the true meaning of family. :)

This school has done a fine job of managing the delicate balance of promoting strong discipline while maintaining a nurturing loving environment for children to thrive in. I have two children that attend the Hellenic American Academy and I am fortunate enough to say that both my children view their educational experience in a positive light. On a couple of occasions, my oldest child has struggled academically in some areas and her teachers and the HAA administration could not have been more accommodating to get her back on track. HAA provides a strong educational foundation while never losing site that promoting a strong sense of self and individualism is tantamount to a child s success. I would invite anyone researching area schools for their child s education to visit the Hellenic American Academy.

As a parent I have come to acknowlege that this school is an high calibre school for my daughter in which she has now entered into her 3rd year. The teachers is very informative and creative with teaching styles. I can say that my daughter has receive high acheivements in her educational skills since coming to this school and I highly recommend anyone to try out Hellenic American Academy.

I am a parent who has been very fortunate to have had three children attend this school. Each of my children has had an outstanding education and the unique oppurtunity to grow in a school that feels like a family. If you're in search of a school with great academics and unique cultural events then I highly recommend the Hellenic American Academy.
