I love Stopher elementary because it is an AWESOME SCHOOL my child that goes there loves it just as much as I do.

They are against having my with special needs specially from a different race and culture and they showed it to us. We had to transfer our son.

It was great. I feel he was prepared for the next level. Nothing is perfect. No school is perfect. As a public school this was the best experience we’ve had. We have tried oldham co schools/private and at this level there is nothing I would change.

My son just graduated from Stopher and is headed to BTMS. I have a now 3rd grader and a Kindergartener as of this coming school year and I'm so excited for them to experience the type of education that I had growing up. The principal, teachers and staff are so caring and go above and beyond for their students and student parents! They provide resources to students who are struggling to get them on track and encourage them to do their best. They offer great extra curricular activities albeit some may be expensive, but the experience for your child is priceless. I appreciate everything that this school has done for my children and family!

Our experience was mostly poor. Our child was considered an outlier and therefore became a weekly soft target. Sadly, we did not have the same positive experience as most of the other reviewers. All children, regardless of their socioeconomic status, race, gender, religion or disability are entitled to free and public education. Stopher should not be the exception to the rule.

Would never recommend it was all negative from the getgo. Plus they exclude children with learning disabilities from extra curricular activities.

Stopher Elementary is a wonderful school. Every aspect of this school is top notch. The Principal, teachers and staff are all exceptional. The school hosts many events for the children and family. Homework is well organized, often assigned to each kind at the beginning of the week. Lots of activities for the children (dances, cheer, and educational clubs). Could not be happier with our Kindergartener's and 4th grader's education. They deserve every star! Your children will love this school.

My childhood are getting a wonderful education here & the staff is phenomenal. My only complaint is the lack of adequate parking. It would also be great if orientation were not held in the middle of the work day in consideration of parents that work.

I am a Stopher alumni and I absolutely loved it. The teachers focused on each student heavily and made sure you understood everything. This is the best elementary school in our area. I got distinguished in science, social studies, reading, mathematics, on-demand writing, and language mechanics in fourth and fifth grade. You are putting your child into a great community with kids that actually wan to be your friends. I made so many friends that have lasted long after elementary school. The parents support the kids a ton and the community is great. The outdoor classroom is an effect of the fundraising our grade did, along with the rockwall in the gym and the strong sports teams. I highly recommend this school for your child. You will be happy for the experience anx community you are placing your child in. Tour the school and decide for yourself!

I love this school. My daughter just transferred and we are thoroughly pleased! Everyone is friendly (staff, students, parents) and her teacher is amazing. I love that everything is so organized and the school and staff encourage parental involvement!

I think Stopher is the best elementary school in Jefferson County,our whole family love it.My son improved so much in reading and math.Since we are not native English speaker,we are very anxious about the reading and writing class.However,our son adapt well and he learned so fast.We cannot be more proud of him and appreciate all the hard work his teacher made.Way to go!Stopher Elementary!

I have two children at Stopher. At our first orientation I had an extremely negative first impression, but it has turned out to be a great place for my kids because their classroom teachers/assistants are amazing!! As far as some of the related arts teachers go, I don't appreciate some of their rude attitudes....I volunteer a lot at school and interact with them often. The most rude person at the school is the principal, I have always had issues with her inability to articulate clarifications such as why students are required to take Chinese versus Spanish, and she has been randomly rude to me while I've been at the school. She really needs to learn how to speak to people more kindly and I certainly hope she does not speak to her students that way. I am just thankful she is just the principal and not the teacher :) As long as the teachers stay great through the years I will be happy!

I have two kids go to this school. Everything is perfect. However, did any parents notice the communication tower over this school? I'm worried about the radiation. Kids spend 8 hours in the school. Parents, let's talk to the board about this serious issue.
