My child has started UTK at this school and we are very happy with the teachers, students, and principal, and staff. My child is learning so much in just the few months he has been at this school. We had my child at a private preschool prior to attending Toland Way and this school has taught my child more in just these few months compared to the preschool. My child has developed good friendships, and the parents are all supportive and wonderful. The teachers and so dedicated and great with students. I’m glad I didn’t get swayed by all these other reviews and kept my son at this school.

According to the lausd website, majority of the students do not meet English and math proficiency. For details google it and you will see performance for 2022. Don’t know how a school like this continues to operate when it fails children.

The school has a warm and inviting atmosphere. It is evident that students are the priority, they are welcomed and students check in everyday to see how they are felling an doing. The community is in a quite and clean neighborhood. The campus is clean and has many murals that inspire motivation and cheerfulness. Teachers are very caring and hardworking. They make sure that there is student work displayed that shows cases the student and what they are currently learning.

My daughter had Mrs. Amezcua for kindergarten last year. She is an awesome teacher. My daughter learned so much in her class. Mrs. Amezcua goes above and beyond to make sure her students understand what is being taught. She had taught my daughter to excell at reading/spelling. I'm very pleased she was our kindergarten teacher. I highly recommend her to any parent with a child attending Toland Way.

We love Toland Way. Great principal, teachers, and staff. They are dedicated and very helpful. I'd definitely recommend this school to my friends.

Mrs. Amezcua was my child's kindergarten Teacher; she worked very hard to have her class ready, she was dedicated and cared about each of her students. My child learned so much with her, and his favorite lesson was: "Always try your best". The Principal was very committed to improve the school. This school also has a parent center which allowed me the opportunity to volunteer and be involved in my child's learning.

My children have thrived at this school! The teachers truly care about their students, the principal is engaged and knows all the students by name, and the front office staff are very friendly and helpful. The teachers are eager to work with parents on ensuring every child excels in school and is prepared for the next grade. The PTA is very engaging and the parent center very welcoming. We are very happy our children are receiving a quality education in a safe environment!

In spite of continued buget cuts over the last several years, Toland Way has done an incredible job. Under new leadership for the last two years, academic performance has trived and our API has topped 800. We have an active PTA and an engaging Parent Center. We would love to get some businesses to sponser us. Come and check us out.

I graduated from Toland Way Elem and the staff made a huge impact on me. My fourth grade teacher (Mr. Ramirez), how is still there, was amazing. Mr. Ramirez presented math and reading to a whole new level! His innovative approach challenged us in ways that were fun and fulfilling to us! Very few people have impacted my life like he has.
