Ribét Academy is an excellent academically challenging school, with exceptional students from all over the world that attend the school for that very reason. In addition, the support that the administration provides for securing spots in the top colleges is priceless. Graduates of Ribét are accepted into the top colleges, and they are more than prepared for success. Even during the pandemic, when many private schools (and public schools) could not or did not develop a plan to continue effectively educating and engaging the students while taking classes from home, Ribét went above and beyond, making superb adjustments. At the high school level, students attended their classes from home with the same schedule that they would have had to adhere to if the school were open as normal. Having always been a school that focuses heavily on academics, Ribét now also has excellent extracurricular activity opportunities, with the sports department developing very nicely under great new leadership, and the school teams doing exceptionally well as they compete at higher levels. While the tuition is higher than I see reflected online currently (that must be from years ago, before I was a parent!), the education and experience that students have there with some talented teachers is priceless and worth the tuition. I am pleased that my student attends the school.

Worst experience of my life. Will never refer anyone to this place.

I really regret sending my child here. They are really behind in their academics. Ribet does not provide all of the programs they claim to. There is little to no enrichment for students. The Teacher turn over rate is extremely high. They have been consistently losing a lot of families.

This school is getting progressively worse every year. At first, it was decent, there some good teachers, but many of them are inexperienced. There are some really good teachers at this school but every school year they fire the teachers in order to replace them with cheaper alternatives, and like I mentioned earlier, a lot of these teachers aren't experienced, actually, these teachers literally just came out of college and is their first year teaching, you'd expect to have more experienced teachers in a college preparatory school. The math and science department is very good, but it's not drastically better from a public school's education. The English department, it really changes every year because of having a different teacher every year, so it really depends on when you plan to attend your child, but in general, it's average. The students joke around, but they don't really bully anyone. And finally, the international program, I can't really talk much about it as I'm not an international student, but a previous review mentioned something about students going to the office and getting a donut to eat as their breakfast, I can confirm this, but this year there aren't any donuts in the office. So take all of this into consideration before spending over $10,000 to attend this school.

My boys have been attending Ribet Academy for the past 5 years and we have been very happy with the education that they have received. They have small class sizes and have received one on one attention from their teachers every year. The teachers are very accessible and keep you posted on assignments and progress from the elementary level to middle school. Grades and assignments are also posted online so it's easy to stay connected as a parent. They also have activities to offer such as music, art, and spanish which is included in the curriculum for Elementary. Middle school also offers a variety of electives. Both boys have flourished at this school and have made lots of friends. Would recommend this school.

Ribet has provided great quality education than our local public school, plus specific teachers for art, music, PE, computers, library, Spanish,& student support etc. So far, my child has enjoyed every one of her teachers through the years. Online access to grades, & communications makes it easier to keep on top of what's going on at school. Plenty of field trips & special fun days has kept my child loving school. I believe that Ribet has been a great match for my child.

Overall, my family and I love this school. My sister is an alumni who graduated from the high school two years ago and went on to UC Davis. Ribet prepared her for the rigorous academic structure that was ahead. Additionally my daughter attending Ribet for several years and was on too sad to leave, but was accepted to a performing arts dance school that Ribet's diverse dance program strengthened her for. Lastly, my son has been attending the Red Barn pre-school since he was 2 1/2 years old, we absolutely love this school and considering that my kids often spent more than 9 hours a day here it is an extension of home to us. The teachers and management staff are open to communicating and coordinating with parents to best meet each child's needs. They are consistent in there learning programs, while still managing to include fun filled activities that my children have LOVED participating in. Most importantly, I love that it is a pre-k through high school program that my child can grow into, it really takes the guess work out of having to look into different school; its an all-in-one school that stands above the rest.

It was a great experience that we have with Ribet and my child loves it there. The school have a good curriculum, and good students. What I really like with Ribet is they see potentials in every student and they help them to be great with their strong suit.

When my son transfer to Ribet in 2013 as a 6th grader, it was so warmth as soon as you step into the property and we were welcomed by a teacher and a student and tour us to the school and meet the whole staff.

I have explored with various types of schools within the Los Angeles County area. From public school to private schools. Private schools that included religion based studies. Of all four types I have experienced for my children, I have found that Ribet excells in providing an overall academic curriculum. This includes studies in fine arts like music and art. The administration has been helpful and understanding with accommodating all my needs. Overall, I have had a great experience with Ribet Academy.

My son has been at Ribet since Kindergarten, and will be entering the sixth grade next year. Sometimes I cannot believe how much he loves his school. He actually gets excited about going every day, and never ever wants to miss a day. He loves his teachers and has never once had an issue with being bullied. All the kids from different grades play with each other during lunch, which is rare these days, and pretty special. It's a tight knit community at Ribet, because everyone really makes an effort to make it feel that way. I also really love that they don't overload the students with homework. The fundamentals of math was instilled since first grade. There's a big emphasis on reading and comprehension, which I love. They also have a great science fair each year. I feel very confident that my son is learning everything he would need to learn in order to attend the college of his choice when the time comes. Bottom line - the education your child gets at Ribet is an excellent one; well rounded, with a nice balance of art and music to boot. They have a great staff of educators, whose aim is to sculpt a brilliant future for your child.

I came across this site by chance as I was looking up end of the year activities for my son who's a junior at Ribet. To say that it's been a battle with him academically would be an understatement, but I have to honestly say that has changed this semester. My son has been under the tutelage of the Drama Teacher, Mr. Costello. Since then my son has communicated more with me than he has in his whole time in High School. He's excited when he comes home, and it's changed his whole outlook on school. In my conversations with Mr. Costello my opinion of Ribet has changed, because they have invested in someone who cares about the students not only because their drama students but because they are students who need guidance and motivation. Mr. Costello not only motivates the students, but he also gets the parents excited, something I haven't seen in a long time. Job well done Ribet.

My 11th grade daughter loves Ribet. She came when she was a sophomore, coming from a huge public school. The people and environment is superb: feeling welcomed, doesn't seem snobby, and you feel like a family. I believe that private school isn't for every student, but if your child doesn't care about popularity then definitely come here. There are no cliques and everyone accepts one another. There are also a whole bunch of activities to do such as: varsity sports, performing arts, leadership, and clubs to join. The teachers will give you all the attention you need, staying after school just to help you. The campus might not look the best, but in the inside, the people and the environment is a reason why you should come to Ribet.

My daughter is in Jr. High there and like any school there's good and bad to it. The school has some incredible teachers, my daughter has struggled with math her whole life and Mr. Watkins has done a tremendous job making sure she understands everything before they go on. Some things have been said about admin on here and while there are a few that need a lot of work, Mr. Dailey and Mrs. Adams have been completely transparent and honest with me and my husband. I believe in all sincerity that they have my child's best interest in mind. One of the most important things that I see as a parent is that my daughter is excited to come home and talk about her day. Whether that's because of Mr. Watkins, Mrs. M (can't think of her name) or Mr. Costello who has transformed that performing arts department into something that will continue to grow based on his enthusiasm and excitement he instills in the students he works with. There are still some glaring issues with certain teachers, choices that are made at Ribet, and facilities that need upgrades so I'm not sure if we will be back for High School, but that's a year away. We will have to see how things continue to change next year. Until then I look forward to what Ribet has in store.

Both of my children are currently enrolled in Ribet Academy. My son has been attending since he was in Pre-K and he is now entering 3rd grade. My daughter started in Pre- K as well, and is now going into 1st grade. The great experiences I have had with this school is endless. Each one of my childrens teachers have been amazing and contributed to their success they have had thus far. The teachers are always available to hear any and all concerns and keep parents in the loop of communications with any challenges your child may experience. There are dedicated teacher at this school that care about the success and well being of their students. I recommend this school to anyone considering it. Ribet is currently undergoing remodling to its campus and expanding on their sports curriculum.

Ribet Academy goes above and beyond for all its students and parents. My son has developed academically and socially in such a way it's unbelievable. I look forward to my son attending Ribet throughout his elementary and high school years.

Had a very poor experience here. Administration remarkably unresponsive, and seems not particularly interested in the welfare of the students. I echo the comments of an earlier poster. This is a business first and foremost. Your child only gets to go to school for 13 years. Look closely and don't make a hasty decision. That's what we did and we lived to regret it. Our entire family is much happier after my child switched to another nearby school.

Ribet is an excellent school that offers the arts, as well as being educationally challenging preparing the students for college. They also teach life skills like responsibility, respect and kindness. I have been impressed with how quickly they handle any issues that arise and resolve those issues to everyone's satisfaction. I highly recommend it to any parent interested in a high quality education for their children.

My son is a student at Ribet. The administration office staff members are always available, helpful, and supportive that makes us feel welcomed at all times. We like that the school keeps the classroom size small to ensure every student is getting enough attention from their teacher, and the teachers are truly dedicated to their students. Ribet is definitely the perfect choice for my child.

Our son has attended Ribet since Kindergarten and he will start 5th grade in the Fall of this year. We appreciate the small class sizes at Ribet, lots of individual support and attention to address the unique needs of each student, and teachers who are passionate about teaching and who sincerely care for our children. We also appreciate the supportive community of parents who are all very dedicated in ensuring that their kids are not only doing well in school, but are teaching their kids the value of friendship and cultivating relationships with their peers. We recommend Ribet highly to those who are seeking a quality education in a nurturing environment.
