Complete waste of money, principal has a tattoo on wrist to that she hides. hypocritical, to head a Jewish school with a tattoos. Fake school. Kids graduate to go to community college, waste of money.

We are huge proponents of Milken for its academic excellence and its community. My son has made the kind of friends he'll have his whole life, and he is continuing to build his connection to the Jewish community upon the foundation laid for him in elementary school and at Camp Ramah. The faculty is also amazing. Many of the teachers come from exceptional backgrounds, bringing business world experience and the latest in pedagogy into the classroom. My son is involved in sports, robotics, service learning, high-level classes and music. He is busy every day of the week and loving every minute of it. Our younger kids have already told us that they don't want to look anywhere else for high school. We couldn't be happier.

A great education with a heart and soul. Milken is a warm and nurturing school that focuses on the whole child. The students are kind and bright and the community is supportive. The academics are excellent. One of the best private schools in Los Angeles for sure!

We have three children who recently graduated from Milken and are so grateful for the education they received. They made lifelong friends, were very well prepared for college, and understand their responsibility as Jews and human-beings. Their teachers challenged them to think and to care.

My children entered Milken in Middle school and have continued thru the High School. I have been impressed with the quality of the leadership, teaching staff, and support staff. They continue to impress me with the levelOf commitment in providing a rigorous academic portfolio for ALL the students. Even during these unchartered times of the pandemic, our students are being taught virtually to such a high academic level - we couldn’t be more impressed with Milken.

I can only speak to the High School, as my children have not attended the middle school. This school truly cares about the individual child and meeting his or her needs. The science program is amazing and they have just built new facilities including an "MIT fab lab". They offer a variety of classes and APs. My children came from a non-Jewish school and have thrived and enjoyed their experience here. I highly recommend the school.

I taught here in the Middle School. MS leadership lacked academic vision. School wanted us to teach like robots and keep the kids on a very short leash. The kids were mostly nice, and easy to bond with, but some kids were out of their league academically, and so acted out or developed behavior problems. The MS is all about surface appearances.

They totally get kids and treat them like people. My son came from a non-Jewish school and has flourished. In three years he's only had one teacher who wasn't great and that teacher was recently removed. Some of the changes over the past years seem more geared towards the most talented kids, especially in science and art, but as a parent of a kid who is passionate about these things I think that's great. I do know it has become much harder to get in than in years past, which has rubbed some long-time families the wrong way, but to me that's a real positive.

Sinking ship. With half the science department leaving and losing their talented teachers to other private schools, it is sad to see. My two older kids graduated when Dr. Wrubel was head of school. I am sending my youngest to another private school. New head and the principals are simply not leaders.

I thought the school was beautiful and a great environment. Once I got more involved I saw my kids weren't being treated like students but more like dollar signs. My children got As and Bs but the education was not up to par. I wish they spent less time learning Hebrew and more time with more important subjects. I wish I had sent my kids to a public school. Nice families but mostly Iranians. Half of the graduating class ends up at a community college. I didn't pay all this tuition for my sons to end up at community colleges.

Milken is a fantastic school with rigorous programs that are not available at any other independent high schools in the area. The school does not market itself and its amazing student opportunities very well. Students can take three years of science research during which they learn how to understand professional science journals, develop their own science or engineering project, work in university labs, and write and often publish their own professional level science journal article. Students also can take three years of architecture during which they learn about architecture, design floor plans, and build sophisticated three dimensional models of residences and public spaces of their own designs. The coursework throughout the school is challenging and there is no grade inflation here but teachers are committed to being available for students after school, during free periods, at lunch, etc. There are a number of excellent teachers in science, English, history, Latin, and math. The new head of school, Gary Weisserman, is a dynamo, understands the changing needs of students and schools in the 21st century and will be a great leader.

My child was not happy while attending this school. She did not like the students or the way the administration conducted itself. It was as if she was a dollar sign, not a student.
