I never recommend this school they just kicked my kids in the middle of the year because of the address they didn’t give us warning even

A wonderful, community-based, family-centered school. I love the pilot school focus on Culturally Responsive Teaching. I have been impressed with the teaching and support staff. I feel fortunate that my child is able to attend.

The fact that this has become an LAUSD pilot schoolakes a huge difference. Local control of budget and creative community partnerships emable them to provide many enrichment classes. Local curriculum control allows the teachers to use texys and materials that are culturally responsive to their students' backgrounds and help them relate learning to their daily experiences. And finally the dedicated and competent administrators, teachers and staff are all on the same page and determined to provide these kids with all they need to suceed-academically, culturally and emotionally.

Overall, I am very pleased with the amazing teachers and staff of this school. From day one they greeted us and my daughter (now promoted to 1st grade from kindergarten) by name and have been very attentive. I am very pleased with the curriculum and the STEM program.

The Principle the Teachers the staff administrative and maintenence are all extremely attentive to the child's needs. They know our names and when they ask how are you they mean it. The positive energy and higher educational tools used makes Baldwin Hills Elementary Great

Culturally affirming. Rigorous and responsive education. Amazing teachers. Caring staff. Great leadership. Engineering, yoga, chess, project-based learning, 1:1 ipads, dance, music...need I go on? Excellent school!!!

I have had 3 of my children attend BHES. I cannot imagine a more affirming, supportive learning environment than this. All of our teachers have been extraordinary! I highly recommend this school to all prospective students.

This is a great school; the children are learning Math and English that would traditionally be taught at middle school. My niece and nephew are straight 'A' students, and their being challenged intellectually daily.

My son had a great experience in Kinder with Ms. Necole and is doing well in 1st grade magnet with Ms. Singer. We enjoy all of the extra cirricular activities like chess and the restorative justice model for discipline. The princpal Dr. Davis realy cares about our school and is accessible. I'd like to see more high quality after school options on the campus. There is one good program but it is a bit pricey.

As a new pilot school with a new principal, BHE is providing my daughters such great opportunities with dance, music, yoga, chess and top knotch rigorous instruction! I couldn't be happier that my daughters are at BHE in the gifted magnet program! You really should check it out!
