Love this school! Did not think about private school with my first child but did send my younger to preschool and have to admit I am impressed with the 4 year old program they have. My son is excited to go to school every day. The teacher has a way to always inspire them and he gain so much confidence in last few month. Definitely recommend!

Excellent! I am so glad my kids are here in this school, they learned humility and fairness. They know how to treat others with respect. Tuition fee is affordable. I highly recommend this school.

This is the worst institution available, the administration is bad, the teachers are sub par, and they are starving for money. Preschool is at best a babysitting corral for 3 year olds, but pull the 4 year olds out and go to another option so they can learn something.

I wish my child never attended this school because of how they deal with bullying. There are issues at multiple grade levels. How many good families have to leave before the administration and pastor will do something about it?

I love Sacred Heart School and the sense of community that I have felt from the very beginning. The staff know myself and my kids by name and I appreciate that. I believe it is important for kids to be supported and comfortable in their school and SHS is that for my kids. Bullying? This society is too focused on bullying and not focused enough on teaching kids how to treat each other with kindness and understanding. Kids are not perfect, they only learn what they see. It is up to us as parents, teachers, and a community to show them how to act as Jesus taught us.

Sacred Heart is truly a great school. I have found the school administration to be very responsive to parent input. My students and my friends' students love Sacred Heart. Not only have we never seen any evidence of bullying, we have found that when a student is different in some way from others, the students embrace that student with the attitude "Oh, that's just the way Diane is.." The staff and faculty are caring, faith-filled educators. I hope and pray that when I have grandchildren, they can go to Sacred Heart School.

I am impressed with the dedications of the staff and the parents! My kids love their school and we all feel that it is more than just their school. Sacred Heart has a very welcoming feeling and if you want to be involved there is definitely something here for you. Kids have lots of good social and faiith based opportunities that you don't get in a public or bigger school. For the size of the school, the technology is pretty impressive. We've been at SHS for years and are very happy we picked this school!

Classic neighborhood parish school. Good core values, underwhelming academics. Very much teaches to the average, enrichment or talent development parents must provide/pay for outside of school. That said, there are far worse places you could send your child. If you go in understanding the school's limitations and can fill in the gaps yourself, then by all means consider this school. If you expect a rigorous curriculum or differentiated learning, look elsewhere. Same for learning disabilities and behavioral issues - this is not the school for you. As stated, it caters to the average child, both intellectually and socially. If yours is on either end of the spectrum just be aware. Again, the social environment is very positive, parents get to know one another, children overall have good manners and know each other across different grades. A number of teachers live in the neighborhood and it becomes common for see them out and in general, reinforcing the community feel. Celebrating holidays is very special. So, a middling school with a great Catholic family environment, overall good but not great, does the best it can for what it is, a one class per grade parochial achool.

I have a child in pre-school, and I must say the teacher is terrific, warm, and supportive. The learning materials are highly educational as well as appropriately faith based. So far, I have been pleased with Sacred Heart. There is also a lot of parental involvement which gives a wonderful community feel to the school.

I have 2 children enrolled ( in grade school & preschool). We have many family friends with children in local public & private schools; Sacred Heart stands out to me as having a strong community/family feeling. We are transplants to Lombard but truly feel part of the community where students seem to look out for & care for each other. At least for my 1st grader, the academics seem to offer better options than the local public grade schools w/ advanced reading, language arts, & math. There is a focus on technology with smart boards in classrooms & computer/ technology classes starting in preschool. The preschool benefits from being part of the larger school as they leverage the gym, music & P.C. labs & teachers, etc. There is an added level of moral teachings infused into the curriculum that sets it apart. Most kids are involved in multiple extra-curricular activities, and gain leadership skills from built-in mentoring programs such Guardian Angel program (older students pair up w/ younger ones as mentors), older students running Track & Field Day, etc. There is definitely Catholic education & great moral training as well. Overall I highly recommend the school.
