im a student and i do not know why the school has #4 rating. most of the reviews are from years ago. Right now 2016-17 things have changed. there are more than 30 clubs at this school. teachers are straight out of college and young that use technology for most of the lessons. they even sacrifice their personal time for tutoring, emailing students who have trouble with homework or personal stuff. Teachers honestly are working under horrible conditions regarding pay and no contract, which is why most have 2nd jobs but they are excellent teachers who have it in their hearts to help students. The state hasn't showed up to the school within 2 years to review us which they should be to renew the school rating. Also they encourage us to try our best and always be involved. Guidance counselors even help seniors apply to colleges and help freshmen already be focused on college too. the only thing is the students as individual dont cooperate or dont help themselves be helped. and they are disrespectful to teachers and their lessons but thats something the school cant help. everyone is given equal opportunities.

Lodi High school is full of hard working, excellent teachers. My son is a successful engineer today due to the guidance and education he received at Lodi from his teachers.

I have one child attending this school for two years now. As per my childs acknowledgement, most of the teachers are good teachers, except for one this year, Mr. Joseph Fusco, whom was arrested along with the rest of his students of the Rocket Club Class, for stealing hunting equipment on private property with the help of his students - SHAME ON YOU MR. FUSCO! Also, on many occasions when the kids were going out on rocket launch practices they were going unsupervised by Fusco, this is very dangerous and should not have not been allowed at all. Yes he was a popular teacher, but he went wrong on the above! He is currently suspended from school until further notice. I must say if Lodi Board of Education allows him back into Lodi School system, I will not allow any of my children to be around this crooked and lying so called teacher. Also, I'd like to mention that the PTO should come up with better and more affordable fundraising ideas.

I have had many run in's with this school over the past yr. now the end of the school year is approaching and my child is about to fail and have to repeat at minimum 1 class. I have suggested for a number of years that the school system upgrade to the online gradebook for parents to view, as well as providing the assingments for the studens so that they can complete & succeed in the school, at this time it is still not in place. I would hope this school find a way to inspire the students to want to attend & succeed and not make the feel as though they are just ment to sit in the chairs and "be there". I would also like to have the teachers make the students feel as though they are there to teach and assist them and not make them feel intimidated to ask for thier help .

I am a former LHS graduate. My child is now a Junior at LHS. The school is overpopulated to the point that the entire freshman class has to sit on the gym floor for events held in the gym. Most of the teachers that were there in the early 90's have left or changed positions in the school so the current students are getting a less than desirable education. The school nurse is a joke. I have instructed my child to ignore the cell phone ban and call me directly if she is ill. The VP is educated and fair with the students, and the majority of the teachers my daughter has seem to not really know how to teach a lesson. The school has gone WAY downhill. I am house hunting to get out of Lodi and I am a lifelong resident. The town and all the schools are overpopulated and understaffed. I can only see these situations getting worse in the future because home owners like myself are leaving, and renters are moving in.

The high school staff has the students best interest at heart. More parent involvement would help student achievement.

I believe that this shcool is run like a prison, Lockout's if kids are late, 4 lockouts leads to a Saturday detention of 2 hours, 4 more & then it's 4 hours, anything after that is suspension. The new uniform policy has been taken too far, so mcuh so that it even if the child waers the right color but the material of the garment is not proper, they will be asked to remove it or call the parent to have the proper garment be brought for them or they face detentio ro suspension.

The material taught in LODI HS is rigorous. Students need to focus and invest more time for success!!!! If your child is having problems, the school community meets with you to find a way to help the student.
