I have 2 daughters in Columbus Elementary and couldn't be more happy. My daughters are getting 100% support for their academic and outside the school activities. They are both taking a lot of time off from their regular learning to be able to follow their dreams. The school Principal and their teachers are very supportive and proud of their achievements. "We are trying to create opportunities for our students, that's wat we do here" Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement. I don't know if we could do what we do in different school.

Above average. The fifth grade teachers are not as involved as I had hoped, given that they are the last teachers to have our children.

I really want to rate it "BAD" for what was done to my son, but I'll rate it average for the sake of being nice. Before my son was diagnosed with ADHD, it was evident that his behavior was a problem, but I expected the school to handle it better. Instead I received phone call after phone call about his disruptive behavior and at one point I was asked to leave him home during the Kindergarten graduation because "he would ruin it for everybody". Needless to say that was the last day they saw our faces. I wrote a letter to the department of special services to get him evaluated and out of that school. My daughter is now attending Kindergarten and I was dreading the idea of her going there. I am grateful she does not have the same challenges and I'm hopeful that one day I can come back here and change my rating. We shall see.

My school is Columbus Elementary. This school by far is amazing. The PTO has great members and executive board. This year we are going to have an amazing year with the amazing Board Members we have representing the PTO. The Schools Slogns is FOR THE KIDS ABOUT THE KIDS. Everything the PTO Members do is exactly that. Its all For the Kids About the Kids. Columbus Elementary School has the Best PTO in Lodi...So when someone who obviously has a grudge against the school because they did not get their way at some point Talks Garbage about an Amazing PTO, All I can say is I truly fee sorry for this person.

If your child has any learning or behavioral issues, do not expect to get help for them at this school. I've been shocked by the lack of positive behavioral approaches and the reliance on punishment. In my opinion they are not in compliance with State mandates on Child Find and and positive discipline.

This school has changed so much over the past couple years. I am a former P.T.O. member and the reasoning for me being a former member is that the slogan they are suppose to follow by is by the kids for the kids well thats now how they do things they are about themselves its like a popularity contest.The teachers are not the same either some not all have forgotten what teaching is all about its not just a pay check !!!! The now have security in the building as well which is suppose to prevent people from being in the building and when i had to pick up my child there were a few P.T.O. members in the general office matters like that should be handled after the kids are gone or prior to them coming in .Parents,family members please be aware of all the things going on in this school before you dedicate your time and efforts.

Columbus school I feel is one of the better elementary schools in lodi. they do so much for our kids and their academic curricular is very good. my kids have learned so much ,and they are so happy with Columbus school and feel so safe to learn there.. The principal, and the teachers do everything they can to get our children ready for the upcoming years . The PTO as well does a lot for the school and children, with after school activities and fund raising for the school. I would not change anything about Columbus School, my kids wouldn't be happier any where else..

Columbus Elementary School is one of the best schools in Lodi. Both my kids went there and they loved it and learned so much being there. The principal, the teachers and the parents of the PTO do so much for the children and the school. I would not choose any other elementary school better then Columbus.

My kids went there and I must say, very good school system. academically, and politically speaking, the principal and the staff in this school work very hard with the children and give them the help they need in whatever subject it is. I like that the PTO does a lot of fundraising and everyone helps out with the school functions and any activities they have for the children. It is a very safe enviroment to learn at. my kids were very happy at Columbus Elementary and there isn't anything bad i could say about this school..

They do not give support to students that need it, The teach it and explain it about 2 times and if the students gets or doesn't they move on. They do not take the time to work with the students that need that extra help. This school is to busy worrying about getting good scores from the state and not focusing on the students. Lodi schools have very little after school programs for working parents. The only one available is the boys and girls club which is expensive for single parents. They do not offer tutoring for kids and don't provide assistance. It would be nice to have some of the teachers graded because not all of them take the time or show concern of their students.

My kids go to school there. The teachers do not help the PTA at all. We are there to help the kids and they don't care, except a few. My daughter raves about the ESL teacher - met her and now I know why! But Never see the other teachers whatsoever
