I can’t imagine why this school has such a low rating. It is wonderful. Both of my children with vastly different needs have been successful here. We have loved all of their teachers. My son who has medical issues is so well-cared for I can’t even put into words how grateful we are to the nurse and his teachers. Despite missing many days of school he is still on grade level and learning more every week. The principal and counselor know every student and family. Based on iReady assessments, students perform the same or better in ELA and math in this school. It is a gem of a school!

Small classes, engaged teachers, great instruction. I pulled my kids from private schools and was thrilled and surprised to find this education was better, responsiveness to parents and students was excellent, and all of my kids got into MCVSD schools from Bayshore after Leonardo. This little school is a hidden gem.

Our school has teachers who work hard but the new grading system is very confusing for the parents and the teachers. Whether your child scores 100s or gets a 90 they will get a score of three on a test. This makes it hard to motivate my children to get 100. A score of four is impossible to get even will a steady 100s. The report cards are cryptic. If your child is struggling he will not be held back as long as he is doing a little better than before. Thanks to no child left behind these children are pushed to the next grade without mastering the material.
