Worst school ever. Hope your child does not have any sort of disability because it is filled with "your child cannot do this and cannot do that". So negative and ever rare do you find a teacher that is supportive. When you do, they leave. Beware.

This school is RACIST. If you are not white do not send your kids here. The “N” word is very popular and the education is terrible. Teachers do nothing because they are all racist. Only giving one star so I can leave a review, would be negative stars if I had the choice. Whoever is from Laurel Elementary And is currently reading this, please show in your staff meetings. Your teachers supposedly have degrees but teach nothing of substance about Black history. Maybe if you all would’ve paid attention in grad school these kids wouldn’t be all over the place saying words they don’t even understand. I don’t blame them, I blame the ADULTS. The best discipline is knowledge, yet you send them all to the principles office. Cowards. Shame on you. This won’t be the last you hear so be prepared.

My child attends Kindergarten at Laurel Elementary School, I was very disappointed with the curriculum. I'm not to happy that she's currently there.

My son has gone to this school since he was in Kindergarten. They have focused more on his behavior than on his actual studies. They complain that he moves around while they are walking to and from the portables and he is often left alone outside the lunchroom because he was "talking" a few times they even forgot to let him go and eat his lunch. The Principle is unfriendly and rarely communicates directly to the parents. Outside of band, there are no extra curricular activities offered unless your child gets into TAG, the TAG teacher is not friendly and only selects the students that he likes whether they test into it or not. I find the school a very unprofessional environment overall. There are a few teachers who want to make a difference but most seem satsified with the status quoe. I can't wait until I am able to move out of this school's boundaries.

Because the teachers and staff really care about our kids and the community we live in.
