I have been teaching at this school for a couple of years and I think it's wonderful. The teachers care and want their students to learn and grow. The administration cares and wants to keep the school a good and safe environment for learning for everyone. The counseling and other staff care and work constantly to make this a school that students can feel safe in. The custodial staff cares and works so hard to make this old building look as nice as it can be. The parents care and are trying their best to be involved in the school and community. There is stability and growth. DDEMS is good and is only heading in the right direction.

I really like this school. When fights happen, people get in trouble. WHICH teaches people that actions have consequences.

This school is terrible, the bathrooms are locked all day especially the girls bathroom, the teachers are terrible at teaching and they don’t explain anything they just say the lesson and if you get it you got it my daughter récords her of her classes this is getting out of hand the adults are to busy gossiping and not doing their job a lot of our kids are failing and us as parents blame the children when it’s not their fault

The teachers here are very bad there are only like 2 good ones and that's it. they never show up to zoom. they act like kids. do not good to this school it is bad real bad THIS SCHOOL BAD.

The staff at the school are wildly unprofessional and the students suffer for it. PG County is known for failing its children and this school is no different. The teachers are paid to teach specifically to tests meant to measure intelligence and if your child doesn't fit in their box, they are left behind. No chance for outside the box creativity just push them through the system. Sad.

This school is terrible. There are some GREAT teachers here(very few) but most of them are unprofessional and act like children. Students with documented learning disabilities are treated like trash and targeted for harsher punishments. The administrative staff half of the time don't communicate with each other and send conflicting messages to parents and students. The more I became involved the worse it got for my student. Do not send your child here if you want them to receive a quality education or feel good about themselves.

This school is simply herding children through the system. It does not appear that teaching is the main objective. Children are given very little homework, communication with teachers and other staff members is horrible. In attempting to advocate for my child with a documented disability, the staff has ignored an IEP and they don't try to hide it. It seems that this is common practice. When you inquire about it, they ignore your questions as if you never asked. If you don't have to, please don't send you child to this school. They will likely not learn anything and will be subjected to rude, unprofessional, and unorganized teachers and support staff. And believe it or not, at least one of the administrators that I've dealt with also falls into the rude and unprofessional conduct categories.

Administration has always been a problem and turnover is ridiculously high. They are into punitive punishments and although they say they will work with you it never really happens. Teaching is horrible although trying to get better and if you are an actively involved parent in your child's life, expect to be railroaded. DO NOT send your child here if you have a better option and want a good education for them. Children run roughshod over teachers and a blind eye is turned for some while others are targeted.

This school is trifling. The education taught is not challenging at all. There's fights nearly everyday, and teachers/staff seem like they couldn't care less. If you want a future for your child, don't send them to this school.

The school Dwight D. Eisenhower is an absolutely terrible the teachers offer no help to the students you really need to bust your bum as if you were in a University to make decent grades the staff gets worse every year and the students are divided based on intellect , the students are learning geometry in the eighth grade it's absurd they actually skipped seventh and eighth grade math no one is capable of learning because the teachers are absolutely unwilling to lend a hand their students the community is run down and the students with behavioral issues are placed in ALC an alternative learning center which really offers no help at all placing the students their just makes them worse their around many negative influences so one they're not doing work and two they aren't going to learn because no one simply cares enough to improvise Dwight D. Eisenhower is a problem and it needs solving!

I went to middle school here . While I did get a few good teachers , most of the people I ever dealt with here were not very pleasant . I really did not enjoy it here and lots of the staff were very unprofessional , except for a few of my eighth grade teachers and my guidance counselor , who was helpful throughout my whole experience here .

I think a lot could be changed for the better, but to be fair everyone is doing what they can. Some teachers can do more than others because they're not as worn down. On the other hand making any situation better is always a group effort. If you want this school to be a better place you have to do your part with your children. Now, the first thing they can do is make a better schedule. Students should not be in elective classes with mixed grades unless the curriculum requires students be sorted by experience. All subjects are not treated equally when it comes to scheduling at this school. The Washington Post recently did an article on what causes the most burnout at work. One of the top reasons was workers feeling like they don't make progress at work. How can a teacher feel progress with their students if the age/experience of the students are mixed? Why would you teach Pre-algebra and Algebra II at the same time? You wouldn't. Just because electives aren't tested by the state doesn't mean the parameters needed for student achievement should be ignored.

This school is one of the worst schools that my child has ever attended. Th staff is unprofessional and there are fights almost on a weekly basis and not enough is done by the staff to make it a safe school. Very few good teachers in the school and the teaching is poor. My child can't focus on learning with the violence that goes on a frequent basis!!!!
