This School offers an Individualized education plan to the students and helps the students grow mentally and emotionally strong. Great school, I like what they do.

My son attended this school for a few years. He came from a program where hed been bullied and abused by staff and the staff at phillips worked very hard with him and he was able to learn to trust and feel safe and be happy about going to school again. Unfortunately for us, that didnt last. During covid, he devoleped some new health issues and for a time the staff was helpful and understanding and supportive. BUT his medical note from his dr regarding the new health issues were not accepted therefore his absences went unexcused. His new recommendations and health issues were never added to his IEP. The staff still remained supportive and helpful, UNTIL he turned 18... then the rules changed. The sense of belonging disappeared, we felt unwanted, unimportant, like he no longer mattered to them. They stopped communicating with us, before his birthday we communicated daily, after, i was lucky to get a response back within the week. There are still questions that remain unanswered. My son was ultimately removed from the program, he was completely withdrawn as a student, niether of which were by my choice. There were staff members who told me "we've got your back, we've got his back... we'll fight for him..." but they didnt. When it came down to the final meeting with the county they did absolutely nothing to support us. They remained quiet. Said nothing except a recommendation for whatever person he would work with at another school... nobody had my back or his... we no longer mattered. All he wanted to do was get well enough he could return to school and that was taken away from him. Im left picking up the pieces of a broken hearted child and wondering if we ever truly mattered to any of them at all.

Avoid this school! They are setting these children up to fail! These children have special needs and all it takes is the right structure and staff to get it done! These people are here for a paycheck and nothing more! They don’t care about these children AT ALL! I am currently fighting to get my son out of this disgrace and onto a school that can help him succeed! It’s absolutely crazy and disgusting the behaviors these children pick up and most would argue their child got worse when they came here! Stay away!

The school is horrible do not send your child to this school. They are there to collect a check from the government to keep your child there.

This school Is absolutely horrible! No words can describe my son's suffering and behavior since he's attended there. imagine a school where the uncontrollable kids are in control and the staff and administration are unable to control their actions and behavior there's constant property destruction, cursing "towards staff and students", fighting, horse playing, sexual harassment towards students and staff and constant pulling of the fire alarm. Nobody seems to be able to manage these students. I'm very disappointed at the school and staff members for allowing such behavior to go on everyday. Teachers are unable to provide education as often because the class periods are disrupted by students who want to curse, rap, bang on the desk, talk about sex, drugs, and gang related things! the student's have also caused problems to the Nestle Dreyers factory next door whom canceled the philips school student work program from there. This school is awful and lacks professional and strong guidance, not to mention a majority of staff are not helpful and provoke students!! I would never recommend this "school" in matter of fact it's more like a Zoo!
