I Would not recomend Jack Lund Schofield Middle School because, as you can see the reviews show its not a very elegant school, to show this as a student there are constant fights and suspensions.

My daughter was targeted and bullied today at school during lunch. Two students approached my daughter while she was sitting alone by herself. These two students snatched my daughters Halloween wig off of her hed, while two other students recorded and laughed. My daughter ran to the bathroom and cried her eyes out as she called me to come pick her up. Once i arrived to the school staff told me they could not locate my daughter. My daughter ended up finding me. As you could imagine i was very upset and emotional as well. A nice woman named Ms.Star assisted me and my daughter. She showed concern and care for my child. I contacted school police because bullying literally kills. These children and parents need to be held accountable, so we can refrain from situations involving bullying. Once the police arrived the principle of the school had Ms. Star bring the officer in her office which is all connected to the same room my daughter and i were in. This whole time the principal never came out to assist me and my child. She never came out to introduce herself until i confronted her. My daughter is a victim of bullying at your school. Your door is wide open, ive been here for almost 2 hours crying yelling explaining whats going on. She never once acknowledged me or my child. This principle showed no regard for what my child experienced. She didn't even have the decency to acknowledged us.

A 3 out of 10 it's a joke! A waste of my taxpayer dollars! The worst school education I've ever seen! This school is ridiculous! They have even called CPS and a investigation was opened that lasted 3 months with me and my child! They even called school police on my child! Because they refuse to let her go home unless they searched her backpack? Nothing was found in her backpack as my child was crying and felt like she was being targeted.

I have been at Schofield middle school my entire middle school career. Some of the teachers are amazing and are dedicated to making sure their students learn and have fun in their class, while others are not as good. This school was really good when I was in sixth grade, but it has been going downhill ever since PBIS was implemented. PBIS is shown in study after study to not work effectively, and is just a further stressor on the already stressed students and teachers. In my eighth grade year, the dress code was made way stricter, which made it very hard for student, especially the low income ones, to find clothes to wear to school. We are not allowed to wear jeans with any rips, which is very difficult to find in many clothing stores and can often end up costing parents a lot more than it should. I also hope that the dress code becomes more relaxed after I leave. Middle school is a time for kids to start really finding out who they are, and their clothing can help them figure it out. But other than those few things, my experience at Schofield has honestly been pretty great and I am going to be sad to leave it after all these years.

It could honestly be the best experience of middle school or the worst, there's no in between. If you hang with the right kids, you could focus on schoolwork and have no issues. If you don't your schoolwork is out of way and your life is surrounded by drama. I've met a lot of kids here who don't care at all about school. The teachers here are 50/50. You could get a teacher who doesn't teach you anything, and LITERALLY stands in class waving her hands around for the whole period, not teaching a single thing about English. (I've been there). Or you could have a great teacher that helps you understand the things you need extra help on. (I've had a few of those teachers).Overall this school is what you make it to be. "Make it a great day or not, the choice is yours."

I go to this school and I've been here for 2 years. My teachers were very nice and my friends said the same about their teachers. Though they complain about homework, I can tell that they like their teachers. The other staff are nice too. I've been at in-house once and I saw how they worked throughout the day. The up coming 7th graders from the 2013-2014 school year are kind of nice. Though the majority of the student body cuss a lot. The clubs are nice too especially the Homework Club. That club saved me from an F. Their Morning announcements are sometimes hilarious and boring. I always looked forward to the Friday Fun Video. Some teachers are really chill and sometimes uptight. Schofield's Choir program is amazing. I've been there since I was a 6th grader and I never stopped loving it. Mrs. Fleischer makes it even more fun with her stories and lessons. I will dearly miss this school.

Great! Don't listen to the bad reviews. "Overall, students...are mislead to believe that the electives are available to all students. Very disappointing." Someone had said. Actually, all electives ARE available, but at the end of the year, the teacher chooses who will be in that certain elective for the next year. for instance, I am in Intermediate Art, but you don't have to have skill to be in any of the art levels. It goes by responsibility and behavior. If your child is messing aground all the time, don't complain if he or she, don't receive that elective the following year. However, I only have one issue with my school. All the music related electives. They seem to be the main focus of the school! So if you are planning on being an art student, don't expect the spotlight. The art teacher is wonderful though, he even won "The Best Teacher Award" once! (I am a student.)

I go to this school... and it is okay but it really needs improvements. School lunch, especially. The aides that work behind the counter are terrible (some of them). For example, I saw one of them put more food on one plate for another person just because the knew them. The kids at this school use foul language everywhere I go. The older ones, especially. I thought the older ones were supposed to be role models for the younger kids.... but I guess I thought wrong? But... I do like how Schofield has the electives and how eh teachers try to help the students with work as much as they could.
