I think that this school provides the best education abd communication that it possibly could with the resources that it have. There is NO perfect situation. Parental support needs to happen more often with a collaborative and positive impact. Instead of blame gaming and finger pointing. Parental and educational support for Parents is needed in our Community badly. Community elaboration, School Board members, and staff ideas and SUPPORT are also important. Laplace Elementary is structured in the community and Community Involvement is NECESSARY for its Success.

This school is the worst school ever! The teachers are messy and encourage fights and bullying. My daughter informed me that her teachers were making things hard for her and after going to the school and confronting the situation they started to make things even more difficult. My daughter warned me that it would happen which is why she was scared for me to even say anything. The teachers and staff are all unprofessional and do not send your kids here.

The teachers have NO communication! They have DOJO for nothing. My child kindergarten teacher DOES NOT COMMUNICATE to any of the DOJO messages , no phone calls, no txt. They also DO NOT send out anything concerning the things that’s going on until the day before. Tht is so unprofessional. You won’t find out about dress down day, picnics, pizza day etc until the day before. That’s inconvenient. BUT other then that some teachers deserve raises because they are awesome.

LaPlace Elementary is really a GREAT PLACE to LEARN. Faculty and staff are WONDERFUL! My child left private school to attend LES and we have had nothing but success. Principal Mrs. Cupit is also wonderful and works real hard to make LES successful.

The principal seems very unconcerned about the students at the school and she is very unpofessional and lacks common courteousy with outside staff that visits. I was very shocked to learn that she was named " Principal of the year" last school term. I do not have children at the school but I am there often. I have had many students report to me about the bullying that takes place there and the lack of discipline and/or action that is taken as a result of the incidence. I dread going to the school each week and I hope that a new principal is provided to the school that actually cares about the students there!
