This school is the ideal school of favoritism. They pick and choose who to correct about uniforms. The school is more worried about uniforms and trying to look good. They forget that the grading average for this district is low. Really wish the kids had better choices for academic purposes. They should really strive to be more like Texas and put less focus on uniform. They should strive to have focus primarily on education. Rising the districts grading average or at least the schools grade average. Also the amount of bullying they allow and racism is beyond me. I’ve gone to the school board to try to find other options to home schooling because I would hate to completely disassociate my children from the school system. A man stated he would be going to the school to help with the bullying and racism. He states he would get back to me if he wasn’t successful at achieving that. My child came home yesterday and told me that her foreign oriental friend is moving back to the Philippines. I told her wow that’s sad. She said no it’s better for him because he won’t be bullied. It’s just sad that I’m this district the minorities like the Asian/ Chinese/ Hispanic/ biracial children aren’t protected. Their should be tactics and severe consequences for children being taught ignorance at home and bringing that into such a diverse community. Hate crimes such be taken very serious and hate speeches. Not only should the predominantly race be safe. All races should be safe in this school district. I grew up in this school system and just like I told the school board… nothing has really changed much. It’s really just gotten worse. They attempt to sweep under the rug the wrong doings of such things. I believe it will really take for someone to make a dramatic decision for the district to really be shaken up to make some drastic changes to the situation. Also kids have complained about food having mold or being undercooked. They’ve attempted to take pictures with their cell phones which I think they have the right to do and have been scolded/ belittled for doing so. I was called about my daughters uniform shirt. This is one of my less defiant daughters out of my four. 3 out of my 4 are advanced in any material handed to them. As I brought my daughter her uniform shirt I see other kids being checked in with ripped black uniform pants. They were not disciplined. So I’m closing the pick and choose who to discipline.

Hello there, I was formerly a student in this school and I don't really recommend it at all. 3 teachers of mine quit during that period of time, and that tells that the school is unbearable.. I barely seen any discipline in this school, too. Not to mention the kids in this school sometimes picked on me for the dumbest reasons such as my butt, and my nose. They clearly did not have been disciplined and when I reported things, I don't know what happened. Did they get in trouble or not? All of my fun teachers left cause of the students (possibly) giving them hell.Don't trust the 5 star reviews! :(

ESJ Prep has been a blessing to my entire family. My son has grown to love math and school, which has been our struggle since kindergarten. The teachers are easy to work with and it is like one big family.

My child attended ESJE this past school year and will not be going back this year our experience was not great at all. They hire uncertified teachers and I only want my child with a professional who has the skill, training, mindset, and certification be a teacher, not a friend of a friend who got hired because they know someone and don't know the first thing about children let alone teaching them. The administration and teachers spend to much time on social media trying to make like their schools are the best and they are doing so much for the children. LIES, and the test scores tell it all. Less time on social media and more time focusing on the children. We have moved to a another parish thankfully. Deplorable!

ESJE is a phenomenal place for learning. This is truly a place of learning that values family involvement, motivating students to strive for excellence, and helping students become their best in all their endeavors. This school develops well rounded students who learn to balance extracurricular and academics from a young age.

Parents don't be fooled by a spruced up review or two.. This school need to be closed down. The staff is only there for a paycheck. TRUST ME! From the top to the bottom.

As the new leader of East St. John Elementary, you'd be hard pressed not to choose this school for your child's educational journey. We currently house 100% certified teachers and administrators who care about not only test scores, but the entire child. East St. John is on a quest to be the best!!!!!!!! Mr. Bradford

Whoever Moves to Laplace. Stay away from this School. My kids have been there a few months and I am already looking for another school. I perfer to work 2 jobs and put them in private schools to make sure they get a good education. Starting from the top person in the school to the Bottom no one cares for the kids. No tourtoring after school, teachers do not communcate with you. Nothing just plan NOTHING. If you do end up going all I can say is GOOD LUCK!!!!
