I think the school was much better before all of the staff changes with the opening of the new school in East Lansing. It seems like the new school took all of the experienced staff away from Cole Lansing. I think the lack of experience has caused a loss of culture and has set a completely different tone.

Terrible, if my kids weren't court ordered to attend this school per my divorce decree, not only would they not attend Cole Academy, they wouldn't attend any public school, they would be home schooled

Cole Academy is by far the best elementry school in this area. When we started there in 2007 she was going into the 3rd grade with a reading level at middle 1st grade. My student exceled to reading at end 2nd grade level in 7 months. By the time she went to middle school she was at middle school level. This school (by far) surpasses the elementary public schools in this area. They always put the needs of the students first.

This is one of the best schools in Lansing! The principal, office staff and teachers show a great deal of care and consideration for the children and parents. The school provides a safe and comfortable learning environment. I truly appreciate and enjoy the various events i.e. science fair, spelling bee, etc. which they invite family and friends to see the quality of work the children have done. They also have a great PTA which works to promote parental and community involvement. I definitely rate it a 5!
