This has to be the worst school I've ever encountered starting from the principle down. The principal takes zero accountability, they fail to meet legal requirements for IEPS, they have teachers who arent even certified in the building. CRI program is awful as well

The teachers are hard working and collaborate with administrators to provide students and families the help and support they need to improve learning. The students are learning to be RAMS (respectful, achieving, mindful of others and servant leaders) and they also learn to exercise leadership skills through several initiatives: Anchoring during morning news initiative, leadership development during group sessions with the school counselor. We plan instruction and data supported activities to help students learn creatively and critically. We have the following to help us close the academic gap encountered during the pandemic:: Rise and shine academy, tag program, mentoring program, and tiers 1 and 2 interventions.

If you DON'T want your children to thrive and have a thirst for learning, send them here!!! They'll also pick up just about every bad habit you can think of. I was curious as to how this school had a five star rating and I see that they are from 2009. Maybe the school has changed drastically since then or maybe these parents haven't had the opportunity to see great schools. Either way Dodge Park can definitely do better. They can start with getting better teachers and retaining them. It seems as if all the good teachers (who really have a love for teaching) leave. Now the kids are stuck with drill instructors. Elementary school isn't supposed to be so serious, learning can be fun.
