Our experience at Bexley Elementary over the past four years has been nothing short of phenomenal! The school community is wonderfully supportive, and my children have flourished in this nurturing environment. The dedicated teachers and staff go above and beyond to ensure that each student succeeds. While over-crowding is a concern and some teachers seem understandably stretched thin, it’s impressive how they still manage to maintain high standards of education and personal attention. The administration's proactive communication is a highlight, with regular updates on events and class activities keeping us well-informed and engaged. The staff are always approachable and willing to discuss any issues or goals, demonstrating a genuine commitment to student success. It's heartwarming to see such devotion to fostering a positive and productive learning atmosphere. Thank you, Bexley Elementary, for all your hard work and dedication! We are truly grateful for all that you do to make this school a wonderful place for our children to learn and grow.

This is a great school. The teachers and staff are very supportive and caring. The admin team does a good job staying in contact with parents. The school has now been more that 2 years as an A school so learning and growth are happening.

We have had an amazing experience at Bexley Elementary so far these past 4 years! I do worry about the over-crowding though, some teachers seem overworked because of it. Regardless, my kids have been thriving! The teachers and administration are always updating parents on events and class details weekly! They are always willing to chat about issues and goals to ensure success in the classrooms! Thank you Bexley for all you do!

When we moved to the neighborhood, Bexley was a great school. Over the last few years, the school has gone downhill. It is overcrowded, to the extent that they have set up makeshift classrooms in hallways, using rolling whiteboards as “walls”. The rating and test scores have continuously dropped every year. The Administration can’t seem to get a grasp on the issues going on, as things just get worse year after year. There are also major safety concerns regarding their arrival/dismissal process. They hand out hiker/biker passes to anyone and everyone. People park all over the residential streets instead of going through the designated carline. The cars cause issues for kids trying to get to a from school safely. The administration at the school and district have been made aware of the safety issues for years. Additional crossing guards have been requested multiple times. They simply won’t do anything on their part to help the issue. Unfortunately, many people in the neighborhood have opted to pull their kids from Bexley Elementary and put in charter/private schools because of how disappointing the experience has been. We are on the verge of doing the same. I really hope they can turn things around, for the hood of all children attending the school.

My son is having a good education in this school. He is exceeding expectations in terms of writing and reading as well doing really well on math at KG. He learned already the basics for 3 operations (addition, subtraction and multiplication)

We are fairly new but they are very diligent when it comes to safety and the well-being of the students.

This school is growing rapidly. Current enrollment is actually well above 1,200 kids unlike the number 810 that is listed here. The teachers are phenomenal. Ive toured other schools in the area and their instructional practices are well below that of Bexley teachers. The communication includes newsletters, texting communication, social media sites, a principal weekly message and newsletter, a PTO bulletin monthly, dates on the Marquee, and a friday folder of communication weekly...and yet parents complain that communication is an issue. The data of the school is always above the district average and many times in the top 3 schools in primary grades in the entire district for Reading and Math. Parent engagement events are amazing here! Math night at Publix, ELA night with activities for doing at home, a testing night with the local middle school, STEM night showing off tech, coding, and drones. The PTO hosts a carnival, movie night, valentines dance, family bingo night, and so much more! The car line is super long, but that is because over 600 families use this as the main transportation. The staff are out there sweating, in the rain, exhaust, and almost getting hit by cars all with a smile! They have asked for parents to help due to the level of complaints with no one volunteering which is sad. These teachers work their tails off and the admin team is incredibly strong! They are innovative, open to feedback, progressive thinkers, and empathetic problem solvers.

We absolutely love Bexley, our boys have attended since K. As many public schools they have had their fair share of turnover, but the current Administration is absolutely wonderful. They support their teachers and students to the fullest with helping them succeed. The communication from the Principal is fantastic, she sends out weekly messages informing families with upcoming events, happenings at school. All the teachers that we have had the pleasure to work with send out weekly communications on what the students are working on each week. It's a big school but with a small town family feel.

Poor administration with three complete turnovers in 5 years of all principals and assistant principals, office staff rude, guidance staff overburdened and not enough time to help with bullying and behavior issues, many uncaring teachers who either ignore the children, put all of the students on devices for all subjects (all grades, even kindergarten) with very little to no personal verbal or visual instruction, and many who enjoy giving punishments to the whole class for the bad behavior of a few students who are repeatedly acting out--make the whole class 'run laps' at recess. Out of 51/2 years of attendance, one child had no teacher for kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 5th grade to start the year, then a substitute teacher, and then for two years the new teachers who were hired after the substitute quit after a few months, and they got another new teacher. One child in kindergarten was getting pushed, kicked, hit, and yelled at by other kids with behavior issues and kept telling the teacher--answer was 'go sit down' every time and did not respond to parents request for teacher conference. First day of kindergarten one child got no lunch and teacher never even noticed, then tried to lie that she saw child eating. One child was verbally bullied and physically pushed repeatedly by another student, and the teacher after we requested a conference announced to the class that she's 'not dealing with any more drama and not talking to any parents'. Both children have been sent back to class by the school nurse with serious injuries diagnosed by doctors after school later the same day. Administration took away IEP of one child because of not enough staff, then when got IEP back next year because of grades being lower (from no help), and then no help was given to child because 'other children need more help' and because of not enough time/staff. PTA is active, but only will allow certain parents to volunteer for events or activities. PTA spends money on what the very few that remain in charge decide to spend it on. We have had 5 very good teachers out of 12 in the span of 51/2 years between two children. It's a shame we have to try to go through school choice to go to another school because the one we are zoned for in a VERY nice neighborhood area is so poorly run and our children are miserable going to.

Our granddaughter is a student at Bexley. She had a great experience in kindergarten, and is looking forward to first grade!

My child has attended BES since kindergarten. This is the most racial school I have ever experienced. Once a child is labeled, there will always be a problem. I have spoken to other family’s that struggle with the racial disparities in this school. The administration will sugar coat by lying! My child has called and text home asking the staff to tell the truth when thy call home. It’s amazing how many student have stated how this school shows major favoritism. I will pray for the staff at BES to treat ALL children equally!

Dealing with the administrator at this school is a nightmare. She is constantly rude, condescending, and cold. When she was rude to my wife and she said something to her about it, she terminated our child's enrollment with less than 24 hours notice, to try and put us in a bad spot with daycare.

They are not good with children that need an IEP program.

We have not had any issues but when I have had questions, the teachers and principal have been more than accessible to answer them. I have loved it this far and am excited for my other daughter to begin for the 2020/2021 school.

Excellent, 10/10. Our experience with Florida schools is limited but Bexley is top notch compared to other schools locally.

My children are thriving at this school. They enjoy the technology and are learning so much. This is a wonderful school.

The school does not provide educational or emotional support to each student in an equitable manner. The administration is incompetent. I was very lucky that my son is now in another school, where his grades have improved significantly, his reading and writing as well.

We couldn't be happier with Bexley. My son has an IEP and they have been fantastic with him and with following his IEP. The gifted program and STEM programs the kids have access to here are amazing. We would choose this school over any school we have been to in the past.

Love the no homework and my children have learned a lot due to creative ways of teaching. However if your child struggles with a slight behavior issue like not agreeing with kids, not listening very well and losing focus this school has zero tolerance and patience with that.
