Education is absent, very low test scores. They pivoted to social issues over academics so the school in slipping lower and lower every year. It sucks if your children are stuck in the school district. Do a walk through you’ll see for yourself.

Great School Purple team is Amazing I don't know, but I believe that from what I've seen, the Special Education program is really Good.

This school sucked. It is the most racist, homeophobic schools ever as of 2024. A kid once stole a water fountain from this school last year, that was pretty funny.

The counselor ignored students with mental health issues and reports of abuse from students, she even went as far as to say she constantly hears about suicidal thoughts as if it annoyed her. The students posted videos about how much they hated all the classes and the teachers didn't care about them and used the school computers to access TikTok to post those videos. When asked for help for free and reduced lunches I was treated badly and then later ignored. The teachers let the kids wander off on field trips without supervision. There are no adults watching the kids after school. The music teacher pressured my daughter to change instruments then wouldn't let her change back to what she had already been playing prior to going there. Over all they cared more about taking expensive trips then they did the students.

I am writing this review as a parent AND a former middle school teacher (15 years). I know how hard middle school can be for kids as their brains and bodies are growing rapidly and life at school can seem like a chapter out of Lord of the Flies. It was a pleasant surprise to see my son thrive at Creighton during his 6th-grade year. Unfortunately, elementary school was a struggle for him academically and emotionally. He is on the purple team at Creighton and the staff and teachers have embraced his neurodiversity and have made my son feel welcomed and valued. I now teach high school and see how middle schoolers evolve into young adults after their middle school years. I am confident that Creighton is preparing my son for high school and I am so glad we chose Creighton!

This is a large diverse school. Kids from many different circumstances and backgrounds go here; some conflict is inevitable. Though bullying isn't always addressed effectively, administration is communicative and aware of issues. I have had two kids on Purple Team (gifted program) here & one in the mainstream classes. Purple Team is amazing, and most of the teachers are capable of teaching to twice exceptional kids along with everyone else. The school works hard to promote an environment of inclusion, which I appreciate. My kid who was not on Purple Team had a tougher time, since a lot of kids get tossed together & middle school kids aren't at a great age for making good and kind decisions. However, all my kids did/do have trusted adults at the school, and know it's not hopeless if there are conflicts. My kids aren't excited about their classes, but do get excited about other opportunities and events at the school, and occasionally share something interesting from class. If there's a middle school where most of the kids are excited, engaged, happy and kind, I would like to hear about how they did that, because imo, Creighton doesn't deserve its bad reputation. Middle school kids are at a difficult age.

My son is on Purple team. The teachers are excellent and he is challenged. He has lots of friends and loves it here. He will be well prepared for IB at Lakewood High School next year.

This school pales in comparison to one of its feeder elementary schools, South Lakewood and then the High School it feeds, Lakewood High. Its an unfortunate detour for students in 7th and 8th grade between 2 good schools. All of my children went to S. Lakewood, Creighton and Lakewood High School. I feel the principal at Creighton needs to shoulder a lot of the blame. She sets the tone from the top and I feel she is not a good leader as she seems more interested in herself than the students there.

I can't understand if is school has a gifted and talented program that the overall school scores can be so low? Can anyone explain these scores? If this represent the overall scores then a significant number of kids are failing.

Luckily for me, I am out of that school and I am of to a better place which it high school... This school is the worse middle school and for eight grade lunch they ran out of food for a lot of students. The faculty who was in charge always let us out late and we were always late for class. This school is just a disgrace to education and students have smoked on school grounds! The teachers were terrible and I disagreed with how the teachers treated the students.... But, then again all of the students disrespected faculty. Not to mention, there were sooo many fights in Creighton and there was a lot of "graffiti" in the girls bathrooms! Plus, that school is very disorganized. So to sum up this school, it is just not worth anyone's time and is a disgrace to education! Also, I have a friend who got suspended because he was afraid about a rumor of either a school shooting or a bomb.... He was just telling the principal and I think that someone like the superintendent or something suspended him which was wrong because he was just telling what he heard. Anyways, I regret ever going to that school and I am sorry for any future students and parents that have to deal with this school...

The school was...pretty bad. I was on the accelerated program, luckily, so i wasn't involved in all the nonsense going on, but honestly, most of the kids are very misbehaved. We had to change the PEA (point, evidence, analysis) system because the kids didn't know what analysis meant. That's honestly just sad. The purple team is really the only good side to Creighton. The teachers try, but it's definatley weighed down by the other administrative staff. I'm so glad to be out of there. There were LOTS of drugs and sex going on there. a lot more than most people think.
