the classrooms are actually very helpful. many teachers actually help me and my fellow classmates. some teachers, i admit are harder to handle than others but apart from that Nogales high is a really good school to go to. it doesn’t get the recognition it deserves, instead it is looked down upon.

Had many tough experiences that helped me develop and mature as a person; overall had a fun and fulfilling experience.

Honestly, probably one of the worst I've seen. The kids aren't motivated to do anything. Teachers probably have to continuously baby sit them. It's an amazement that anything actually gets accomplished because the kids here feel as though they've given up on education and don't worry about the future/ don't think about consequences.

This school is truly one of the best schools. From all the remodeling they have done that has left the school looking amazing and it isn't even completely done with remodeling. The Principal, teachers and staff members really make the children's academic success their number one priority. They have so many opportunities for their students. From Honors, AP and even the grigorous IB coarses to AVID, NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY. To their career pathway coarses such as criminal justice, forensic science, medical field, law field you name it. Whatever your child wants as his major, whatever prestigious college/university he or she is considering. Their is a career pathway at Nogales that they can take to help prepare them, to give them exposure and experience. Their ROP coarses are just awesome. Their after school clubs such as robotics/science club and so many more all also help them in their career field of their choice. They have tutoring after school for those who choose to get the extra help. The summer school options are great to help get them ahead of the academic game. They really encourage their students to aim for success. To be the best not only academically but behavior and character wise. They care about the type of adults their students are becoming. They help support and inform the parents as well as the students about the opportunities and programs as well as all the requirements that are needed not only for their time being in high school but to their future in college. They involve the parents in every step of their child's high school chapter. You do have students that are careless about their future and have behavior issues as in every school with no exception of any. However that has nothing to do with the school as children are a direct reflection of their parents or parent. If the parents aren't giving their children structure, stability and discipline at home they do tend to carry that bad and disrespectful behavior to their school of attendance. But for most student here at Nogales and most parents of students here at Nogales as well as the Principal, teachers and staff they are simply amazing people doing an amazing job.

This school has its ups and downs, all schools do. Yes there are the student who do not care about the school, and will eventually drop out or move to another school, but it is also filled with students willing to make something of them self, the teachers here try there best to help you, want the best for you, administration, well you can't judge them much since every year we get new administration. I feel they need to get their stuff together, and find out ways to better the life the students who want to get their work done instead of focusing how to reward the miss behaving students, seriously I went here and recently graduated from here, I feel as they favor the misbehaving students and do not really reward the hard working ones. Administration get your stuff together really! What I do love about this school is the staff members who try to push you to do your best, the teachers, the counselors, the coaches, and advisers. Administration... I do not like you very much, or you security guards, stop being buddy buddy with the gang members and hating on the other students, we see that.

Nogales High School is a great school. The teachers do care about their students, it's just many of the students are disrespectful and rude to anyone different or weak. My daughter was being bullied and the administration did nothing. The honors, IB/AP students are very friendly kids, so I would rather have my kid attend those classes instead of being harassed by others in regular classes. Another problem is the school officers around campus. They are always on their phones instead of doing their job. It makes me sick that the new principal is letting these administrators get away with this. How about instead of wasting your time trying to reconstruct the whole school and start reconstructing your whole administration.

Maybe the administration should stop worrying about who's shorts are "too short" and motivate students to care about their education. Teachers should also start doing their job instead of sitting around on Facebook during class and talking about their personal life that nobody cares about.

I am a current student at Nogales High School. I am a Junior, Class of 2015. I believe this school is a great school, its just the bad reputation that makes it seem bad.mit has a bad reputation because of all the gangs near the school. The teachers do care about the students' academic performance and do whatever they can to help them. This school is great! The Honors, AP and IB courses are excellent! Throughout the years, it has changed dramatically, in a positive way. Gotta love this school.
