The Rowland Unified School District is making amazing strides and progress in learning! Both my kids attend Jellick Elementary! while the overall scores in the past have been rated as low, those are steadily increasing. But perhaps more imporantly, something that I absolutely appreciate is the loving and caring environment that all my kids (and my family) have experienced. Not just the teachers but the entire staff as well. Rowland Unified has stated that their values are Care, Compassion, Connection and Content. They are creatin a healthy environment for my kids to thrive and I am simply grateful and amazed. Highly recommend Jellick! Oh they have a great Special Ed program too!

Maybe the average academic scores are not the highest, but my children moved on to middle and high schools with over 90% academic standings in math and English. Every teacher we had at Jellick were outstanding and with extra amount of love and care for the students as I compared notes with my friends who live in some of the highly -rated school districts. I exchanged almost daily/weekly notes with the teachers to monitor my children's progress, and they genuinely cared when the parents cared!

At Jellick, my son enjoys being part of this learning community. He is provided opportunities to explore different subjects and interests while learning. He has a core group of friends that encourage him to do his best.

Jellick taught me absolutely nothing. They see kids get bullied but don't care, teachers swear in front of children and you really don't learn anything at all. I suggest you go to killian instead.

I used to go to Jellick... Since I was from Kinder to Sixth, I am now in Alvarado Intermediate. From those years I have been improving. They make it easy to learn in Jellick. They treat us like their own family! They give us fun and education. It's an awesome school and I would recommend it. Yes, it's near the highway... But they care about our health... If it's super hot they will keep us inside... If it's raining hard they will do the same... They won't make us be outside in bad conditions... Also if your child is doing bad in school... They shouldn't be shy... Ask a teacher for help. They can help you, I think they also have tutors there...

I wasn't too happy with Jellick. From my personal experience it did not seem like they expected enough out of my child. Plus, the area surrounding the school isn't the best and it's right next to the 60 freeway so pollution was a concern for me. I've since switched schools and my child has improved academically.
