My children's first time to study here in America, I am thankful and they studied here at JCS Manzanita. the teachers are good at teaching, they are very considerate of the students, they do everything for the children to learn, all are equal, there is no discrimination, their principal is very hardworking and takes care of the children, even the teachers care about the children.

We switched from a traditional school to JCS and never want to go back. My daughter felt lost among a sea of kids at her old school. At JCS, she knows almost everyone and receives the individualized attention she needs to thrive. We love it here

This is an amazing school. I was in 8th grade back when JCS started back as Julian Charter, and now my son attended here for 3rd and 4th grade and we loved it. The staff and the teachers are amazing, they communicate, and they're understanding. I appreciate everything about it. Unfortunently going into 5th grade we moved out of the area, and it has been so hard for me to find another school that Im even remotely close to being as comfortable with as JCS, Im definently even considering a long commute!

I love this school. I have 1 high-school child in the jcs home study program and one who was in home study from k to now the 4th grade and he is a special needs child. He has had so much improvement in his academics and social skills and speech. The special needs teachers are great and love to hear input and ideas on how to help your child. All the teachers are great my son loves Mr. TONG and thinks he's amazing. But all the teachers are amazing. I wish I would have put him in the academy sooner because in this year he has went from not getting math to being the top of the class and helping others understand it. And he has jumped 2 grade leaves in reading and is now spelling on his own and from.what I hear he is graduating out of speech this year. He's so happy to be at the academy. Even though he liked the jcs homestudy program he enjoys the academy even more. There's so much that the academy does its never boring and the parent teacher involvement is so awesome. Never once has my son complained about bullying. And he has made so many friends he can't wait to go back for 5th grade.

I cannot express how grateful I am to have found this school. I have a daughter that started kindergarten this year and a 8th grade son with autism that has always been in special needs classes his whole life, he was at a 3rd and 4th grade level as an 8th grader. He came in to an 8th grade class mainstream'd and had more education more 1 on 1 work done with him then he has in the district we live in. He is now closer to an 8th grade level now then he would have ever been at our district's school. I am so thankful to have my kids attend this school. if you're a parent like me and is sick of the public school education and can't afford to pay for private school then I 100% recommend this school. This school has changed our lives.Thank youAmber McKenzie

JCS Manzanita is a true gem, and I believe it offers an exceptional learning experience. One of the things that stands out most to me is the way in which the staff truly know every child. From the very first day of school, it's clear that the teachers and staff are invested in each and every student's success. I also love that they incorporate activities that allow the students to explore their interests and develop new skills. Most importantly our daughter is thriving there and she loves going to school! I cannot recommend this school enough!

After trying a handful of schools and feeling both disappointed and afraid for my child's safety, we found JCS. I love the flexibility of choosing either home or site based learning, and the class size is small enough I know my child is getting real attention. Previously, she had issues with bullying from other kiddos -- it's essentially a thing of the past now. She's thriving and actually excited to come to school now, like I'd hoped. We foresee staying with the school indefinitely.
