I was a student at this school, and it is very poor in understanding. In the 4th grade, my friend was being bullied and had major depression, and when she told teachers and staff. All they said was to pray and hope God will fix her. They all constantly referred to her as sick or in need of Jesus instead of helping her or telling her parents. She went on to become more violent and depressed. In 5th grade, she left the school. Another red flag about this school is that they are culturally insensitive. I was one of three Asian girls in my grade and teachers were constantly mixing myself and my friend up. They would call us by the wrong names and tell the class how we were "exotic". My former 6-grade teacher went as far as to teach us his political beliefs. My only memory of this school was constantly crying in the bathrooms because of how I was wrong or being publically shamed in class by my 7th-grade teacher. I would NEVER recommend this school.

Christ Lutheran School has been a second home to our family. We feel at home and at ease. The staff provide excellent instruction and instill great values.

High standards, structure, and rigorous academics. We are so happy with this school. Our whole child is nurtured here academically, spiritually, physically, and socially. Attendees are lucky to be a part of CLS. I know that if my daughter had a problem, she could go to any CLS staff member and they would guide and support her in a way that is aligned with our family values.

I LOVE this school! Yes, I'm completely biased. I have been given the great privilege of leading CLS since 2000. Our staff has significantly changed over the last few years and our mission has stayed the same - develop dynamic disciples for Christ. At CLS, we believe this is done best with intentional discipleship (your kids learn to know and love God's Word), consistent expectations (we work hard), and in a positive school community (at CLS kids are known and loved). CLS has navigated COVID and all the changing protocols while keeping school in session and kids educated well as our primary goals. CLS isn't a perfect place, but it is a really great place full of great people. A visit to our campus, a walk down our halls, or a conversation with our people will quickly convince you. I LOVE this school! I LOVE this community! I LOVE these people! I LOVE CLS!

Our children go to this school, and I cannot ask for a better more supportive environment for my children. The environment is one of grace and compassion, but coupled with high expectations to help the students learn how to take personal responsibility, organize their time wisely, develop outstanding study habbits, and achieve a high standard in academics all while teaching and showing them all about the Lord. The commitment to excellence and passion for their students is evident in all that the staff does at CLS!

I was a middle school student here quite a few years ago, and my two year experience at this school has definitely still stuck with me. Very poor environment overall...the school tries to pass off their way of teaching as "tough love", but in reality, there is very little compassion or grace shown towards their students. There's a lot of unnecessary pressure put onto the kids for things that, in the long run, don't really matter. I will admit that I liked most of my teachers and their styles of curriculum, and believe that they cared about me as an individual. However, the student body was truly the centerpiece of the school that made it awful, and my main reasoning for giving it such a low review. The school is made up majorly of white students from wealthy backgrounds, and they definitely let you know it. If you're different and don't fit at least one of those two quotas, chances are you won't do very well fitting in. Not once did I ever feel welcomed or included in this place; even faculty made some comments that they thought were cute or funny, but in reality were more frustrating and annoying than anything. While I cannot speak for them, I know some family members also had a negative experience here based on similar instances. The school does have a lot of very nice faculty and staff, but the culture of the campus was one that created a really negative viewpoint of this place in my mind. If you're looking for a warm and welcoming school for your child, keep looking.

Great experience for our daughter in pre-school. The teachers are incredibly caring and fair. The have a wonderful positive reinforcement and encourage kindness and working together. I cannot imagine a better environment for learning and the teachers have done an incredible job at integrating learning with fun. Our daughter has learned so much.

Because there were two outstanding teachers my daughter had I will rate it a 3. One teacher can really ruin a school.

My experience at this school was wonderful. I made wonderful friends and was raised in a loving Christian school. I was challenged academically which just helped me become a better student in the long run. I would highly recommend this school for a great Christian education along with, strong academics that better prepare you for life in the real world.

We are tremendously thankful for giving both of our children the opportunity to attend this school. We could not be happier and it is the best decision we have made for their academic success so far. They are thriving in their education and they are truly happy. I feel secure at every single drop off in the morning that my child will be loved, cared about, safe and monitored. The Principal knows everyone's name and the entire administration goes above and beyond our expectations. Best money we have ever invested. Thank you CLS

My kids go to CLS. They have been there since preschool. They love it there. They have good friends and like their teachers. The higher grades are a concern. If you transfer from a public junior high school, get ready to be stressed! They do not practice "grace" or "forgiveness" when it comes to grades. You get an incomplete on assignments for not turning in on time, skipping a question, not reading the directions correctly, not putting your name on your paper, talking too much in class while working on a paper, etc. etc. My kids get good grades but they are under a lot of stress. It is difficult watching they try to cope with the stress and all the pressure. No room for mistakes. Your kid can have an A and then forget their book, get an incomplete and their grade drops! It is so sad to robe a good kid of joy. It is extremely difficult on the parents because they treat your kids like there are in college. They are just kids! High school should be a breeze.

We have the best of all worlds at Christ Lutheran. High academic and character standards combined with the most heart-warming, loving environment makes this the ideal setting for my young children (and me!)

We began a search of schools when our daughter was 3 to get a head start. During our search we came across Christ Lutheran. From the moment we had our tour, it felt like home. From the principal to the teachers to the front office staff, every single encounter exposed the joyful passion this group has for the students and the work they do!

Christ Lutheran School is now our #1 reason to stay right where we are until both kids have finished the 8th grade. Not only our children getting an excellent education, they are ENJOYING school, they are being NURTURED by the teachers and staff, my husband and I are INVOLVED in the school community and we have made as many friends as our children have. We feel that our children are SAFE at Christ Lutheran and LOVED by their teachers. This school has great TRADITIONS that have been passed down for 55 years like the buddy programs, the all-school musicals and the desk decorating. Christ Lutheran graduates go on to the high schools of their choice and, I believe, have the proper ACADEMIC and VALUES foundation to thrive wherever that might be.

Although the decision to send a child to private school is a big financial commitment, we don't regret for one minute the sacrifices we have had to make so that our kids could attend Christ Lutheran School. The rigorous education and faith based atmosphere has created a sound foundation as my children move on to high school, college and beyond. They have learned great study habits, time management, social and public speaking skills, and responsibility for their success. In 2009, Christ Lutheran was awarded both the Pacific Southwest District Teacher of the Year award and the Administrator of the Year award. Athletics include volleyball and basketball in their amazing gymnasium facility. The only downside is that they do not currently have a field that allows for outside sports like soccer, football and baseball. Kids who participate in those activities find rec or club teams within their communities. The school has weekly chapel (often led by the students), discipleship classes, and monthly youth group sessions where they can share their love for Christ and learn how they can be dynamic disciples in our communities. Take a tour--you won't be disappointed!

This is the best decision we have made for our family! As working parents, we were very thoughtful in deciding where to send our children to school. We could not be happier than we are with Christ Lutheran! The staff genuinely love our kids! The time they invest in creating an environment where kids not only grow but thrive socially, spiritually and academically is top notch! We have been members of another church for many years, and if we were not, Christ Lutheran would be a place we would plant our own spiritual roots as well. If you are looking for a school where the teachers, principals and staff are extraordinary, progressive and true partners in the education journey, you will be delighted with the gem of a school CLS is! Stop by for a tour .... just be prepared to not want to leave!

What an amazing Environment! My daughter has been attending Christ Lutheran School for 6 years, and she has loved every minute of it! And as a parent...well, if your child is happy, you are happy. She looks forward to going to school every day. The curriculum is top notch. The teachers are excellent as teachers, as well as great friends.....to us as well as our daughter. And the christian atmosphere is loving, nurturing and has really strengthened our daughters faith. Private school is always a financial sacrifice, but I would not change it for anything. Cannot say enough good things about CLS, this school is truly a blessing!
