Selective teaching at this school, personally they are prejudice!

One of the finest elementary schools in existence. The leadership is exemplary. Teachers are very experienced and attentive to student needs. I was so impressed by an end of the school year salute to America theme that they had in May, 2022. The whole atmosphere was fun and each grade level K-5 had a unique and patriotic theme. Amazing in this day and age of division.

My daughters teachers are amazing and have helped them improve so much, but the difference some staff shows to children of minority is there. The principal has been rude to me on a number of occasions and talks down to me each and every conversations ive had with her. I love all the teachers though and appreciate all their hard work. Next year, we might try to transfer.

I’ve noticed myself that students are treated differently especially minority/foreign kids from talking to others but the overall education seems great. Certain students that can’t comprehend like the other kids just get ignored and singled out from the rest of the students. If this issue could get more attention it would be a lot better.

This is a decent not great school until you have problem and then you are ignored or told all is fine and to go away. we have also been given misinformation by staff multiple times. The glowing reviews are no doubt by the PTA type parents because that is what runs this school. My child"s education is sub par at best .There has not been any teacher contact whatsoever concerning areas that my child may have a weakness in.Bottom line there are much better schools for child to be in.

Small, diverse, wonderful parental involvement, great teachers, and an atmosphere of joy in learning. Best elem school in Knoxville!

The teachers are either under qualified or incompetent. The school itself is infested by cockroaches. And the quality of the school goes down yearly. My son once enjoyed this school but due to a lack of cooperation with the school had been bullied with no one to turn to. His test grades went from A's and B's to F's. To top it off only one of his teachers actually taught. One of which were fired for their lack of work. This school doesn't deserve an 8.

The parental involvement at this school is outstanding. A true community school. Walk your child in and before you know it you feel like family. Teachers, office staff, custodial staff, are all top notch. You would be hard pressed to find a better, more dedicated principal than Mrs. Dunlap.

We moved here in time for this last semester and my son has done very well in the 3rd grade with much better grades and he had a great experience. I will have 2 boys there starting in the fall and I know they will flourish. Thanks for all you do!!
