It’s one of the worst schools in the county. The administrators only will take one side of the story no matter how little evidence there is. And the teachers are straight awful. Out of the 3 years I didn’t have a good math teacher not ones . I didn’t learn a thing in any math class I had. I had terrible experience with the teacher too I had a teacher tell me I need to get in better shape and when I reported it to the administrators all they did was make me and the teacher have a conversation about the situation. There’s so many fights at this school and almost nothing gets done about it. The people in the fight get off with little to no punishment but the people that are in the area where it happened will most definitely be getting iss or a suspension and if you video the fight or have a video of it you will being going to alternative school 99% of the time. If you are in iss you will be in the same room as the special need kids which is unfair to them. There 2 or 3 teachers in there that have to deal with all the special need kids and the kids in iss they can’t do there job to teach when they have to watch over 5 to 10 extra kids. The class rooms are chaotic and the teacher don’t care at all. The administrators do little to nothing about bullying especially cyber bullying. You can get made fun of in class go home tell your parents and they go to the administrators and nothing will happen to the other kid. The vp is just straight up rude to the students and parents you can walk by and say “hey how’s your day” and she will just look at you like your speaking a different language. But if she tries to talk to you and you don’t hear her or ignore her you’ll be in a world of trouble. This is one of the worst schools to put a kid in. There’s very few good teachers that actually do there jobs. And the administration is terrible they don’t care about the environment the kids are in or how effective the teachers are on the kids. This school made me want to quit school. I don’t have one positive thing to say about it.

The teachers do not enforce any anti-bullying rules and will turn a blind eye when anything happens. The teachers don't properly watch over the class either, letting kids say whatever they want (I've had multiple kids say slurs around me when the teacher was around) and letting them get hurt. I am constantly overstimulated and they expect me to push through it. My 504 is constantly ignored.

This school is great. My son truly enjoys it and the teachers and principle genuinely care about the welfare of the students.

I'm going into 9th grade this year and I am upset, because I already miss North Jefferson! The staff, teachers and most of the students really are nice and they make you feel at home. I think the people I'll most miss is the principal, Coach Kanaday, and my eighth grade math teacher, Coach Rosser. I would go as far as to say we are the best school in the state. Our teachers all actually do their jobs and try to make learning fun by letting us have partners when it's appropriate, study by going on "studyisland.com", ipods, ipads anf lots of other things. When is say we are allowed to use iPods and iPads I don't mean you dit there and listen to music..no there are apps for each subject and they really are useful and fun. The forteachers do enforce their rules so just be warned..as long as you do what youre supposed to their won't be any problems and you'll have a lot of fun too! Just some examples: the field trip trip for ARMT and SATs. Back to school bash. The "Olympics". They usually let you wear your costumes. Different kinds of dress up days. TRUST ME! If you just do what you are supposed too you might not ever want to leave...

Incredible School! Academics, Athletics, & Arts...they are second to none. This community and feeder pattern of schools is the best in Jefferson County, if not the state.
