There are many reasons why I love Landmark Academy. My son attended here K-8, and I found it to be a very nurturing environment which helped him to develop confidence in his learning style. This was a great bedrock for him in life and I still see how he refers back to it as an adult. The staff was attentive, supportive and we loved being a part of this community; so much so, that I am now a staff member. I love the way we all collaborate together and make a difference in every child, every day.

No communication about children’s behavior until child is released from school at pickup line. “Communication” is in front of everyone and not in private. Teacher never answers emails or shows concern for child.

Love landmark great school they help my daughter out so much and I’m glad I picked this school for her and my other child. They both live this school. The teachers are great and have contact with the parents that are great.

We have attended online and in-person learning at landmark. Up until last year I would have rated this school 5 out of 5. Unfortunately when experiencing issues with a teacher, I was left with no options other than to ride out the school year. Which ended up escalating into a bigger issue. I am still disappointed with the excuses/answers I received from the school concerning the teachers actions. However up until that point our experience at landmark has been wonderful. So before this new school had started you can imagie the fact we even were considering switching schools weighed heavy on our hearts. Our whole family pushed us to switch, due to the incident. Yet we decided to stay, for many reasons. For example: our child has only ever attended landmark, our previous teachers were amazing, and we love the dress code. So we're going into this year, hopeful. Hopeful for a better school year, hopeful for improvements, and hopeful for growth all around.

The staff at Landmark Academy go above and beyond for the students. They provide a safe, nurturing environment where learning can take place. It is a family atmosphere!

Food Service is molded, rotten last year and given kids food poisoning first week. Negative reinforcement/ physical threat used to correct, discipline and coerce children. Curriculum is sub par. To keep children on level / challenged tutors, and extra work done at home.Sadly this is the only option for public school outside of sending them to one who's resources officer and dean of students touch children "inappropriately".

We came to Landmark in our student’s 11 th grade year. She had flunked out of public school after spending many years in Catholic schools. Sitting in a classroom is just not her best way to learn. Her teachers, counselor, special assisting teachers were awesome. They helped her do the best she could do. I have recommended Landmark to many a parent, as I am very happy with the school. They also have an equestrian sport group, which is her passion.

Overall I think landmark academy is a great school for my daughter. However last year there were a few issues that I feel could have been handled a lot differently. Anytime my daughter was called out old school for being sick I always asked for her school work so she wouldn't be behind, but never received it. Which then affected her grade because she had so much makeup work to do. My husband even showed up several times after leaving voicemails and asked if the work could be left at the front desk, but would show up and there would be no makeup work for her. The other issue that I had was when I tried to make a complaint against one of her teachers last year because there were several times when I felt he acted very inappropriate especially when it came to cursing, threatening children, and singling out one particular child in the classroom that my daughter and other students witnessed him get physical with on several occasions. I wanted it to be anonymous because I didn't want him then targeting my daughter since he showed a lot of favor towards her, but I was told instead to contact the teacher myself which would not leave my daughter anonymous. I also know that I was not the only parent that complained about that issue. So I feel as if the principal or vice principal should have addressed the matter, but even after saying something twice the problem was never taken care of. So far this year she seems to like all her teachers and hasn't said anything negative about them at all. She also seems a lot more excited to learn and come to all her classes.

My child and I are new to the school but overall so far my child likes the school and has made friends. At the orientation staff got us at the last minute to finish the intake and made us feel important, I'm glad my student got to start school on time.

My son came to landmark with many behavioral issues due to not being able to regulate his emotions. Landmark went above and beyond to make a plan and enforce a plan to help him learn how to manage things. He went from having terrible behavior to being in a leadership program!! I have nothing but amazing things to say about this school and their staff!

My middle school and high school student are in their second year at Landmark. They came to Landmark after attending Uplift Academy, an on-line charter school for two years. The transition was so natural it was shocking, it was as though they never changed schools. Landmark provides them an environment where they are both able to interact with teachers and be challenged and pushed in areas they need and desire. The teachers treat them with respect and allow them to be uniquely themselves, and offer a healthy student teacher relationship. They have both developed healthy new friendships. Adversities have come and staff has stepped in and strenthened the situation by helping the students to behave better, think better and move forward in a mature and responsible way. Another area that I appreciate is the dress code. Having boys, I appreciate that they are not around inappropriate dressed peers. I want my kids to be focused with a clear head, treating their peers with respect and knowing them by who they are and not what they wear. I am so thankful we chose Landmark!

Overall great experience for my child. However, my child's 1st grade teacher lacked in communication. She only communicated with me about my child when he was misbehaving. There wasn't any type of problem solving solutions presented or updates. My child also lacked motivation in certain subjects. I'm looking forward to the new school year. I have faith that my child's teacher will be better with communication and motivate my child to want to learn new things.

It is a good school. My son has been attending since 2nd grade. There have been bumps along the way, but staff usually handle everything well.

As a teacher at Landmark, I think we have the most dedicated staff. Our teachers have such loving hearts and genuine enthusiasm for their craft. Both my daughters have attended Landmark and loved coming to school each day knowing that their needs would be met and their teachers loved them like their own.
