The environment is so child friendly, hygienic, teachers are interactive and so the admins.

As a mother, I was worried about finding a safe and quality school for my kids. By chance I found Foundations for the Future, and both my daughter and my son attended the school. This school met all my expectations, teachers are very friendly, knowledgeable and caring, a school where many activities are organized for children and even parents, where one feels like a part of a big family. My kids always attended school with enthusiasm. it was unique to see their happiness. This school is a happy and safe place for children and their parents. I would definitely recommend!

We are very appreciative to be apart of the Foundations for the Future Family for several reasons!! We appreciate the frequent and clear communication from the directors and staff. I love the flexibility of schedule changes that they offer. The staff is always available to discuss any concerns/issues if they arise. Special thanks to Mrs.Val and Mrs. Vicky for truly going over and beyond for the families, you are very much appreciated! The teachers are truly passionate about the children’s development and their learning. My daughter is definitely enjoying her experience. In addition, the campus is beautiful and they offer a variety of activities such as a full size gym and a natural exploration area for children to explore!

If you're looking for a school that will not only challenge your child academically but empower them socially-emotionally then look nowhere else, Foundations is it! Not only is the facility beautiful, the people are what make it so great. The school has an onsite chef that makes delicious, healthy, child friendly meals each day, which has resulted in my son eating things I would never imagine. My son's teachers have grown to be an extension of our family and he looks forward to seeing them everyday. FFTF also has 4 administrators that support the school in different areas, and are always available to support our family in any way. I really can't believe we lucked out and got into FFTF when we did - but I couldn't be more thankful!

Foundations has been there for our family since I started back to work. Work schedule is always changing and Foundations has been able to accommodate to it. My son loves going to school. He hates leaving unknown places and he loves to walk in all independent.

Our daughter is in the pre-k program at Foundations and loves it! She loves all of the teachers and has learned so much already in the first couple months of school. As parents, we were nervous on how our daughter would adjust as she was at a private sitter prior to starting at Foundations. We have been extremely pleased with how well the teachers and the rest of the staff have helped her acclimate to her new surroundings. She goes to school excited every day to learn and sometimes isn’t ready to come home in the afternoons because she is having so much fun at school. A big plus for our family’s busy schedule are the extracurricular activity offerings that get built into the school day (dance, cooking, gymnastics, etc). It has been very exciting to watch our daughter’s knowledge grow by leaps and bounds in this short time. We look forward to continuing her education at Foundations!

Foundations is truly top of the line when it comes to childcare, pre-k and camp. We have been with Foundations for over 3 years, with previous experience with another childcare facility as well as tours of many others. From the moment I set foot at Foundations I knew it was like no other and it was a special place. The facility alone is amazing: large rooms for children of all ages which means they aren’t crammed into small rooms with little exploratory area; impressive kitchen with their own creative Chef which means meals aren’t being prepared elsewhere and transported in; large size gym with in-ground trampoline and foam pit that makes sure the children get plenty of exercise even if the weather is nasty outside; a heated covered area so even the little children can go outside during winter months without the worry of it being too cold; a natural (gated) play area that lives up to their belief of letting children play in nature – this leads not only to imagination but a sense of playing in the woods that so few children get to experience these days. The teachers, support staff and administrative staff are all amazing individuals with the upmost care for the children and collaboration with the parents. The care and concern they have for the children are unwavering. They make learning fun and while doing that, actually further prepare the children for their respective age group. The knowledge my children gained gave them an advantage when they entered elementary school, which made every school year a little easier already having a solid base. The elementary camp is such a great program – each week is tailored to a theme where teachings have been intertwined with the fun and physical activities but all the while the children are actually still learning. Coming from a family of educators, all were thoroughly impressed with the skills and knowledge my children upon leaving pre-k and entering Kindergarten. I strongly encourage any family – no matter if you have a newborn or toddler or pre-k aged child – to turn to Foundations. This place will become your second home, staff your second family.

My children started attending Foundations due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Previously, my son had been struggling with behavior issues in public school due to ADHD. He is absolutely THRIVING at Foundations! He is now working ahead several grade levels academically. He actually has friends! He never gets in trouble anymore. My daughter is continuing to work above grade level. They meet the kids where they are and push them to do their individual best. The students learn through actually doing things that relate to real-life experiences.

As a fellow educator, I would not recommend this school. There is very little structure throughout the day, which results in behavior problems. When behavior problems arise, they simply call the parents to come pick up the kid rather than dealing with the problem. If you are looking for a private school this is not the place for you. This is a daycare that offers educational programs. The students are taught they they don't have to do anything they don't want to do. I did not feel that the teachers effectively communicated with parents.

We love Foundations. It offers an alternative approach to education that keeps my child engaged and loving learning. The project-based learning allows my child to learn through her interests while the play-based approach makes it fun. She hates missing school!

My child loves going to school here! She is always happy to see her teachers and sometimes isn’t ready to say bye when it is time to go home. Her teachers are open and honest with daily communication. They are great!

I would rate this school on a 1-10 scale, a 7. I did have good experiences in the preschool as in infant to threes.

We love Foundations! We have been nothing but thrilled with our school experience for our toddler. Most recently, I am impressed with how the transition of classrooms for the summer and new school year was implemented. Students visited the new classroom, moved up with a teacher and friends from their previous class. Thanks to the familiarity and the smooth process, the Monday in my child's new classroom was great, and dropping him off was a breeze!

We LOVE Foundations! We had this school highly recommended by several friends, and are thrilled with how great our experience has been. The staff is always loving toward our children. They also incorporate Spanish, gym time, music and movement and other experiences that are hugely beneficial for children. We have very high expectations and have been nothing but thrilled with this school, and what our children are learning.

Our son is an elementary student at Foundations, and our experience there has been fantastic. Before enrolling at Foundations, he went to a public school (a “good” public school – rated 10 out of 10 on GreatSchools.com) and the difference between his old school and Foundations has been dramatic. The public school was very focused on their fixed curriculum, sitting in a desk most of the day, doing work sheets and doing homework. Our son reads and understands math above his grade level, and like a lot of young children, he doesn’t do well having to sit still in a chair for long periods of time. So the public school experience was a disaster for him. He became bored, frustrated and unhappy. And the public school’s response to his needs was uncaring and pathetic. But now…he’s in Foundations and everything is SO MUCH BETTER! He loves it. The school day starts in the gym jumping on the trampoline and swinging on the rope, playing basketball. All the kids are so nice, happy and ready to learn. The academic work is tailored to the individual child’s ability and interests, and involves touching, moving. The school day is engaging and interesting with lots of time outside in the fresh air, playing games, making friends, searching for bugs, enjoying being kids! Our son’s self-confidence has increased dramatically and he loves learning about math, reading, music, Spanish, etc. It doesn’t feel like work to him, it feels like fun. He’s on track for a happy, successful life. All the teachers and administrators at Foundations are nice, caring, accommodating and hard-working.

We consistently have a 95+% satisfaction rate on our parent surveys. I strongly believe that partnership is essential to getting complete resolution. Being a small school has many advantages, including the ability to work one-on-one with families if any issues arise. Please read our reviews on Kudzu.com and Yelp.com as well, where we have 100+ reviews that reflect more than is available on this site. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me to discuss. Sincerely, Lynn McKinnon, Head of School

My son and another child that I know of went to Foundations from preschool to Kindergarten. When they transferred to public school they we're both placed in remedial English due to their inability to read at the same level of other public school children. School is too focused on STEM education and disregards basics of reading.

This school is the best! From the staff/administration to the programs for the kids! Our son is learning at a rapid pace. Their love and logic disciplinary system is a great way to give the kids structure while maintaining and building their self esteem! They always do their best to go the extra mile!

This school is amazing. I have a 15 month old in the childcare program and a 6 year old in 1st grade and they love it. My daughter, 15 months, has a big smile anytime she is dropped off; and every Friday my son always talks about how excited he is to go back to school! Class room sizes are small and the children get great individual attention. When your children attend Foundations you feel as if you are part of a family.

Foundations is a great school, and the teachers are amazing. The change in my child's interest in academic areas since beginning the Pre-K program at FFTF has been amazing and i'm so pleased with her growth. I feel that Foundations has done a fabulous job in helping to prepare my child for kindergarten. I have had a few issues that needed to be addressed, and am happy to report that the staff at FFTF is more than willing to speak with parents and resolve issues as they may arise. I velieve that FFTF does a fine job of preparing children for a successful future school experience, while also allowing them to have the freedom of exploration, and being a self motivated to learn and experience new skills.
