My 2 kids attend Chalker and they have thrived over the years . They’ve had a few amazing nurturing teachers and made good friends .

This school lacks transparency. There was an incident the school referred to it as vandalism but it was not at all vandalism. They did not inform the parents about the TRUTH of the matter until the incident happened again and, they had no choice but to inform the parents of what happened. I took my child out and she hasn't been back sense.

This is our first year at chalker (kindergartener). We have had a great experience so far. The PTA is active, the teachers are present and involved. Our son’s kindergarten teacher is very communicative and is always available. He has excelled and we see a huge change in his maturity level.

Ever since we started Chalker in 2019 we have felt as though we are part of a family. We are truly blessed to be part of such a caring school. The staff is very welcoming and always have a smile on their faces to greet and meet whatever your need(s) may be.

My children have been bullied in this school and it gets covered up. When you bring it to light they have a million excuse they smile as if they can’t be touched. They do nothing I have everything on documents and emails of everything on this school.. these teachers couldn’t even keep it together during virtual learning a teacher lost it on a virtual lesson with her students I witnessed that record some of it as well called about that as well my child was removed from that virtual class just feel for the students with that teacher now. They stick together and lie and cover up for each other they are small community that also hangs out together outside of school. Staff and teachers Kids stay over each other homes. This school will try to make your child seem to be the issue. I do not recommend this school at all.

You may want to consider a different school for your child. The teachers don’t communicate until your child is misbehaving (doing things children do) there is a lot of favoritism and the teachers show it bluntly. My child was sent to the principals office to eat lunch by herself and I was not informed. My child was being bullied and she told the teacher and the teacher told her to figure it out on her own. The ASP director will write up your child for anything and picks on certain children to tattle on. But allows other children to horseplay and be unruly. Definitely a lot of racism and predjudice at this school. Even some of the children say racist comments and that is very concerning.

My son is making great progress. The teachers are super helpful. My son has special needs, and this school is really looking after him and his growth.

My daughter attended this school one year won't be returning. Teachers are lazy, some prejudice and Field day wasn't organized. I had to stay on top of some teachers. Poor excuses

Our experience has not been positive. They do not account for how children learn and what their basic needs are. There is almost no unstructured free time outside and there are too many children in the classrooms. We are switching to another school.

GOOD but, NOT Excellent! Fair NOT poor. Great NOT Awesome!Wish they would challenge our youth more and put more emphasis on little scholars instead of ONLY putting emphasis on a few TARGET kid's. All educators should strive for all students to be apart of TARGET NOT ONLY a hand full!!!

My son was transferred from Timber Ridge, he didn't have a great experience in that school. Nothing wrong with the school, he is special needs so it wasn't a great fit for his needs. We transferred to Chalker in October and he has been so happy ever since. The front office staff is always helpful, the nurse calls me with any sign of sickness and his Parapro and teacher are always concerned and very involved. My son went from dreading school to loving it! Thank you Chalker for the parent involvement and all that you do to accommodate so that special needs children feel like they belong. Best school in my opinion!

I can't say enough great things about the teachers at this school. I have two children who attend Chalker. We have also attended another Cobb county school before moving. And I will say that Chalker blows me away with how effective their teaching staff is! These teachers care about my kids and spend countless hours making the classroom experience work for all of their students. I have a child who needed some emotional support this year and his teacher was aware of the situation and immediately worked with me to help him. I have another child who is incredibly smart, but struggles to stay focused. Again, his teacher approached me with ideas on how to help his learning experience. They are fabulous!!! Every year I feel certain my kids will never have another teacher as wonderful as the one they currently have. And every year I am pleasantly surprised when the teachers at Chalker exceed my expectations. We were recently considering moving, and decided we never wanted to leave this school!

We have three children.... one that went all the way through Chalker....one that is currently at Chalker...and one that will eventually go to Chalker. We have lived down the road for 14 years and never plan to move. We love Chalker and this whole community. The teachers and all of the great families that contribute and volunteer are what make chalk are so wonderful :) You will not be sorry if you move to our area and make Chalker your children's home!

Chalker Elementary has fabulous teacher that care so much about the students! I have had three of my children come through this school and can not say enough about how great the school is for our community. The Principal is so caring and puts so much into the children and staff. I would highly recommend this school to anyone that is considering moving into the Kennesaw area.

I have commented before on how terrible this school is for my KINDERGARTEN sister. But I never thought this school would stoop so low as TO LEAVE A KINDERGARTENER STANDING OUTSIDE *ALONE*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As you can tell, I am beyond furious. I hope this school gets shut down. Never ever send your child to this school!
