This is the worst school that I’ve ever had to deal with I would never recommend this school to anyone they definitely need better staff and a better way of dealing with younger kids they make my child not even like school and that’s sad for elementary my son loved school until he went here

The only reason why i didnt rate this school as terrible is because i have witnessed some teachers going above and beyond; only to be criticized for caring. This school crushes the child's spirit. The teachers carry personal vendettas and the children are caught in the crossfire. I have never seen such bright young children fall to the side and eventually overlooked. The caring spirit and the ability to learn has left that building. Most of the teachers just want to get by and focus on their personal goals. Children are reprimanded for being children and overlooked for wanting to have ideas. What becomes of their excitement to learn? Most of these reviews are either old or from someone with ties in the school system. If those parents were in the school to witness what is actually happening, maybe these reviews would show a better reflection. For all the real teachers that believe in educating; hold your head up and don't give up or into this hypocrisy.

The staff is wonderful, I was having problems with getting my kids in school... They were very helpful and understanding, never judged only helped me get it together! The day I went to the school, my children were tested & placed in their grades & classes based on those scores! Never turned US away, unlike 3 schools prior in Clayton County & Henry County! By the 2nd semester, they were considering my son for the honors program & he made it! Both of my children had AB &/or A Honor Roll all year long, excelled & improved their reading levels!! Special Thanks to their principals, Mrs. Jester & Mrs. Wright & their wonderful teachers, Ms Dominick, Ms. Shaheed & last but certainly not least, Mrs. Bartholomew! We couldn't have achieved this without y'all! <3

Kilpatrick Elementary is a good example of the lack luster public shcools in the Clayton county area. All three of my children attended 2 years ago and I was very unimpressed and most of all saddened by the quality of education they received. The teacher mentioned in the review below (who is supposedly one of the most "creative" people) had poor classroom organizational skills, she was a horrible communicator and very unwilling to go above and beyond to help students. The teachers in general seem to do just enough to get by, and they definitely don't inspire the children. They also don't allow the children to go out to recess regularly which for me was unbelievable. Overall poor classroom management skills and poor teaching. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone hoping for their child to gain a quality education. The one breath of fresh air this school has to offer is Mrs. Lumbard. She is a great liaison and mediator for the children and parents when faced with difficulties with incompetent staff.
