I hate this school so bad can't wait for my kids to go somewhere else better than this. Other than that transportation is the worst do not trust them they don't even care where your child gets drop off. They are very unprofessional and very Lazy people.

If you have a special needs child do not send them to this school for their own safety.

Although I am a native Texan, I didn't expect JISD to be anywhere near my daughters's previous school in PA in relation to academic standards. I was pleasantly surprised as my child has been continually challenged by a caring and attentive staff. My child is now well equipped for the 4th grade will stay in JISD.

I can only speak for my experience with the third grade teachers. I would not recommend the third grade here unless you like no parent communication, never knowing when tests are or what is being studied in class. After I complained about the lack of communication, the teachers began emailing me their lesson plans for the week. I also spoke with the principal who said parents have not complained about communication so there was no need to change anything. So if parents are okay with no communication he doesn't feel the need to create some form of communication about what is happening in the classroom. I have heard good things about other teachers there, so maybe this is just this one set of teachers. However, at the elementary level you would think there would be some type of parent newsletter, online teacher blog or some form of communication to let parents know how to help their children at home.

We just moved here less than a year ago and I was a little leery that this school wouldn't be up to standards as my child's last school. I was so wrong! My child was so far behind from his last school (Round Rock ISD) and the teacher at Jarrell ISD has done a wonderful job to get him back up to where he needs to be. There are nice and caring teachers here. The children that attend are just wonderful here.

my kidz go to this school and i've been very impressed with the quality of service the front office provide. I'm sorry to say about some teachers they lack that professionalism. Also, i find it very distrubing to see how the children get treated during their lunch break. The lunch break attendants/teachers on duty (the majority of them) are very mean and scream at the children when asked to use the restroom. Sad to see not many parents be more involved and see what's going on or have parents help out may be suggestion! But i may say this school is fairly new and is on it's way to improvement. Overall...i love this school!

A teacher pulled me aside to tell me where to enroll my child because of our race. "There is only one in the class." If your child has food allergies, pack a lunch. The catering spr advised my child s account would be flagged lactose intolerant. I did not need a doctor s note. The cashier would see the flag & check the tray. Also, there were 2 choice entrees daily. Not true. I discovered my child did not have a choice (cheese or pepperoni pizza, cheese egg or dry cereal/ stopped serving soy milk). I voiced a concern. Catering spr never called. The principal would look into the matter & make sure I received a call back. Never. Solution: pack lunches. An allergy panel revealed my child was allergic to the class guinea pig (not allergic to any trees or grass). I did not know what caused the difficulty breathing/tightness in chest. The doctor misdiagnosed the asthma until other symptoms appeared- itchy throat/eyes, swelling. I submitted the results to the school, nurse reviewed it.They kept the pet in the class. The teacher never called back.Children should be priority. My child was a straight A student there repeating material learned in a lower grade at another school. Research.

I am very very unsatisified with this school. They are very unprofessional and disorganized. All the teachers I have encountered are very judgemental and unprofessional. I am planning on moving soon to get my kids out of this school. The school is very slow.
