My daughter is always treated like the poor kid. The teachers are constantly trying to give her shoes, implying that the ones I bought her weren't nice enough. The children are very mean. Telling my daughter she's poor and calling her ugly names. The bullying is terrible and nothing is ever done about it. This school cares more about keeping up appearances than actually helping the students. At the moment I have no choice of which school she goes to,due to where we live. But if the choice was mine she would NOT b attending Salado intermediate!

Well it's a good school but lots of mean kids!!my child felt very lonely! And she also felt like the teachers didn't care about anything. This school is very over etimated!!!

If you aren't in the circle of teachers and their friends, your child will be treated poorly. All the 'awards' and 'special' things, will go to their children and their children's friends. I have a straight A student, kind, warm, friendly personality. But, she never wins any contest, never wins any drawing, or PTA event... it is always the same kids.... always. She will never get to feel special, because those leaders choose to handle this poorly.

Wholesome! That is the best word I can think to describe Salado and its' school district. It also had a great NCLB report card that can be found at http://www.saladoisd.org/default.aspx?name=dis.documents or http://www.tea.state.tx.us/index4.aspx?id=4638&menu_id=798. As a military spouse, I am very happy that I found this quaint little town within driving distance of Fort Hood with the kind of schools that I don't have to feel guilty about sending my children to.
