All my children attended Venetia Elementary since 2015 till now 2024. It saddens me that we are leaving. The staff is amazing, the teachers, the administration team, the cafeteria staff, the volunteers. I could not have asked for a better school experience for my kids and I. They set the standards for the kids as well as parents for the future. Thank you Ms. Worthen for everything,-SmithsX4

I would rate my experience at Venetia is EXCELLENT! The administration cares for the students and communicates very well with parents. I have had nothing but positive experiences with the front office and teachers. The school is now an A school and I know the teachers and students worked very hard to achieve this goal.

Horrible, that is all I can say about this school.

Do not put your kid in Venetia unless you want to be harassed about fundraisers; read papers threatening to turn you into DCF if you pick your child up late more than twice; listen to teachers wine and complain about how their kids did not pass the writing portion of FSA because they do not give out much homework; walk in the office to hear staff trash talking kids that attend the school; and the list goes on and on.

My kids love this school! We are a military family and the school was so welcoming. The teachers and the administration are amazing!

I was nervous for my kids to attend here after reading older reviews. This is the elementary that the military base is zoned for. I have been impressed with the administration, staff, school events, procedures. We really like this school. It is a smaller school. There is new administration as of a couple years ago and it has really made a difference from what I'm told. I am involved in the PTA and feel very welcomed and appreciated by the staff. The PTA is awesome at the school. Venetia has a lot of activities and events for the kids. It has been a lot of fun so far. The curriculum is a good pace and the teachers we've had will go above and beyond for their students to help them. We are looking forward to next school year.

This school was fine, but what made it great was Mr. Theis. I went there 10 years ago for elementary and he was real hard on us but he made us good kids and he cared about us a lot. We miss Mr. Theis!!!!!!!!!

So many things wrong with this school. I only hope that with a new principal this school will improve. I truly cannot believe how horrible this school has been. I just read a post from 2006 saying this school is Navy friendly. Please do not send your child to this school because the location is convenient or "Navy friendly". I am greatly disappointed on how dismissive and unprofessional the staff has been towards students and parents. Overall experience at Venetia was a nightmare.

My son has been in the FL public school system in "A" rated schools since he was 3 years old. He attended 2 different schools before coming to Venetia, and has always been the kid that all the teachers wished the other children would be like. Venetia has been nothing but problems! My son's teacher is extremely unorganized. We never know what is going on no matter how many times we've asked her to explain it. Her classroom is an absolute mess 100% of the time. My son was told he couldn't check out library books when we transferred him in, and 4 months later even after I spoke with his teacher about the situation, he was still not allowed until I took care of the problem myself with the librarian. As it turns out there was no reason why my son couldn't check library books out; it was just teacher negligence. He is given negative conduct marks for "laughing too loudly when something is funny" (he's in kindergarten), for "not completing his work" (when I check it as soon as he gets in the car from school, and it IS complete), for "being silly during lunch time" (it's LUNCH TIME, not work time!) He also comes home from school crying on a regular basis. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!
