This school has gone downhill especially with the new principal.

They work great with my son for two years now going on three with his learning and hearing. He wears hearing aids and the school trys to have other kids understand why he and other kids have to wear them. So i say the best school you can put your child in.

Excellent school! My niece went to 2 other choice schools in Duval county the two years prior and had terrible experiences. She was bullied severely and started failing and got to a point she begged to stay home every day. At this school she made tons of friends and started to excel! She passed with flying colors and was actually excited to see her friends at school! She won't be attending this year and is really sad to go.

Kindergarten and first grade teachers are grate and so are resource I have not gotten past that level yet but the principal is a witch. She want speak to you and your child is just number to her. No fun is to be had because that could take away from the Core learning principal that is to go on. And we can't expect that to happen while they learn about the pilgram's or anything fun now can we.

The student to teacher ratio needs improvement, especially with the bullying that occurs. Our son was mishandled with force by a teacher, yet that teacher remains employed, with no repercussions. HIPPA is not enforced, as confidential matters are discussed openly among the teachers, and eventually into the ears of the students. I personally have had to file a complaint with the district in reference to teacher's conduct. There are not sufficient resources to assist children with learning disabilities. We are on our third year with this school, and have physically watched it decline academically as well as staff professionalism. This will be our last year within this district. Many Blessing. -A concerned parent.

Bayview Elementary is a wonderful school. The teachers are the most caring I have met in a long time. My grandson is happy and thriving there. I love it and the important thing is he does too.

I once rated this school as 5 however I am sad to say that I have no rating that ended this year with the change in principal and one other school employee's attitude has ruined this once role model school where children looked forward to going to class on a daily basis. Today most students dread having to come to school at all. There are very little reward programs all PTA participation and requests for Holiday parties is cut off as much as possible the Principal is against any kind "fun" activities at all. Some of my fondest memories are the holiday plays and such these children have very little memory this year thus far to take through life with them. They get to remember a principal acting as drill sergeant her and her troop walking around with clip boards to punish children if they even think about doing anything wrong.

This is the worst school my kids have ever gone to the communication is horrible ,I never knew what was going on with any events ,I was never asked to show I'd when picking up my children getting in contact with the principe was impossible . My daughter's second grade teacher was the worst she was very unorganized and alway screaming at the children .my child failed her class all year with" tutoring" ! It was like she went to school and learned noting all day. I moved just so my kids don't have to attend this school . This school did have some good staff but over all this was a horrible year attending Bayview .

I went here as a kid and it was great! I've yet to this day meet any teachers that cared as much as these ones did.

Both of my children attend this school and they love it. There is a new prinicipal that has been there for the past 1 1/2 year and she is very interactive with the parents and students. I have never seen a prinicpal that involved with the school and strives to have everyone be successful and I love that! The principle is very sweet and greets all the parents and children with a "Good Morning" and a smile. I also love one of the first grade teachers, she has an amazing spunky personality, shes is very friendly and makes sure to break down material to the students as simple as she can so that they can understand it easily. I am very pleased with this school!
