Daughter's orientation today.. I know it's said that a "First impression can leave a lasting impression" and that's so true. My daughter met her teach, that went "ok", then we went to Auditorium because we were told to either turn in her emergency contact form there or main office. A staff member from auditorium told us to take it to main office. I gotta say the office assistant made a horrible first impression and brought little ease in our decision to send our daughter to this school. When I told her I needed to drop form off she not only rolled her eyes but said we should of left it with her teacher when her teacher is the one who said take it to the front office. As parents, when OUR children are attending your school that attitude needs to be left at home. Just that one experience has left a horrible taste in our mouth and an uncertainty of what the school year might be like?

This is my first year as a Hyde Park Parent and I am very pleased. The faculty seems to really care about the children and I have joined the PTA and I pledge to volunteer. My daughter is in Mrs. Durham class and she absolutely loves it. I am very happy to be a Hyde Park Parent. I believe as parents, we must remember, the schools need our support. You can't expect more than what you are willing to give. All learning starts at home. Go Wildcats!!!

My daughter is in Kindergarten and Ms. Wilcox is her teacher. I think this is the best school I have ever been to. I went to the same school when I was little. They have a new Principal which I think is amazing. She communicates with ALL the parents and the students there seemed to be well behaved. I am a volunteer and on the PTA. Proud to be called a MOM of a star student at Hyde Park
