Excellent staff of teachers who really care about the students. The Deaf & Hearing Impaired class is a wonderful resource. "Mrs. L." is the sweetest most compassionate teacher I have ever met and I am honored to have had my son in her care during his early developmental years. Some of the students are pretty unruly and there have been some issues with bullying which were not handled well by the principal but WERE handled VERY well by the teachers. For being one of many public schools in an economically depressed city, I think Bennett is an excellent option. Ms. Novak and Ms. Seagar are great, as is Mrs. Berringer.

My third and last child will be leaving Bennett this year, and all three kids have had a wonderful experience there. What a fantastic teaching staff they have at Bennett. I have had some minor differences with a couple of the teachers, but even then they listened to me and we came up with a plan to keep my child's progress moving forward. This school has so many after-hours activities too, and my kids love attending those. When your kids ask you to hurry up so they can get to school, well that's half the battle right there.
