Beautiful school! I think the school is awesome but some of the students are bad and are making it worse for others and the teachers don´t do much about it.

just no. We had a Shrek shrine and they closed it. The audacity. Would not recommend it. This school, "Failed this city" in the words of Oliver Queen in The Arrow.

Both my kids went to Boynton. We found the teachers to be responsive and caring, and family/parent participation encouraged. The school has a truly vibrant performing arts (instrumental music, chorus, theatre) program that is open to all, and this is one of its strengths. Participation in choral music is essentially required, and the choruses, orchestras and bands are annual regional prizewinners. For high achieving students in Ithaca, middle school (at Dewitt or Boynton) is a chance to participate in enriching activities outside of the classroom, including prize-winning Science Olympiad and Math Teams. Boynton Math Club trades off with Dewitt Middle School Math Club for first place in MathCounts competition for Central New York State and travels annually to state competitions.

They have great communication with parents, the principal is top notch! I feel safer sending my child to school each day knowing she loves school!

Love the support that this school gives to the children at the most important time of their lives. This is a very hard age for most children however Boynton handles each child as an individual with a voice, and allows for positive growth in so many ways. Its hard to find a teacher in this school that doesn't enjoy what they do. Its very organized and is up to date, unlike many of the schools in the surrounding areas. Teachers are all very unique giving each child a different experience, this keeps them interested. Terrific communication as well between parent and teachers.
