When we moved to Irvine 3 years ago my son was assigned to Greentree by IUSD because our neighborhood school, Turtle Rock, wouldn't accommodate his IEP. The faculty and staff at Greentree have been so supportive of his academic development. He started transitioning out of special education last school year and has been fully mainstreamed this year. His IEP support team recognized his additional capacities and worked with us to revise his plan to build off his existing strengths. He likes going to school, likes his teachers and classmates, is catching up after several years in fully-segregated special education and is even performing at grade-level in several subjects. We decided to keep him at Greentree rather than move him to Turtle Rock when he transitioned to mainstream because Greentree has worked out so well for him. I can't praise the quality of this school enough!

I have one kid who has been through K and 1st at Greentree. I have had nothing but a good experience there. All teachers (including the subs) I have come across have been really nice! It's a small school nestled in Greentree community. Since it is small there is no real auditorium and no cafeteria. Children need to sit outside on benches to eat lunch. That's my only real complaint but it hasn't made the experience any less desirable. Based on what I have seen there is a lot of parent involvement. The school also has two "Family Movie Nights" on the blacktop and an end of the school year carnival.
