This school district has always been amazing and advocates for ALL students. As with any school and teacher, if you are having any issues with your child and their teacher the best thing to do is to set up a conference and speak with them.

My kids are 5th and 6th, & started here. 2 years ago, I would have raved about the school, but no more. It's been overrun with more kids than it can handle, & ALL suffer as a result. They WERE all about the KIDS & THEIR success. Now it's all staar testing and shoving them through like a heard of cattle. My daughter is ADHD & has slight HEARING problems. The teachers know this. She's in 5th & still can't multiply, what's wrong with that picture? I had to change her teacher the 1st week last year BC teacher remarks were made IN FRONT of class about not being smart enough to GET IT All BC she thought my daughter was ignoring her. Recently she was called a witch IN class by a sub BC she didnt hear what she was saying & stacked a chair wrong. My son is a GT kid. And gets bored in regular classes. He finishes his HW in class, has it checked by the teacher, but CAN'T turn it in early. Then gets a 0 BC he's lost it. Now they want to drop him from PRE AP saying he isn't smart enough. Even though all of his grades are over 95. And to top it off, the new students all seem to be trouble, & are now causing trouble here. Sadly, I'm frustrated enough to pull them from the only school they know.
