This school has completely gone down hill. The teacher turnover rate is awful. Parents are taking their kids out daily. Very sad.

We love WESLEY ACADEMY.............couldn't find a more loving Christian environment for our son. The school is everything we hoped it would be and more from the teachers to the support staff to the HOS. I can't imagine our son anywhere else!!!!!

The School administration was transparent and helpful. The teachers communicated well and had my child's best interest at heart.

Our child is well equipped for high school thanks to her many years at Wesley Academy. Our only wish is that they offered a high school so we didn't have to leave.

I am so proud of my grand daughter who has been at Wesley Academy since she was 2 years old. And each year i visit her and spend time with her in her classroom on Grandparents day. I like how everyone comes together as a family to celebrate the grandparents and special friends. I love coming to all the Christmas and spring talent shows to watch my grand daughter participate. Wesley Academy is a great school.

Our experience has been nothing but positive. We are so happy we found Wesley Academy, and feel it is the best place socially, emotionally, and academically for our daughter.

This school has it right! The staff care and do their best everyday, and the students are better because of it.

We have all three of our children at Wesley Academy and are having a very positive experience. The teachers truly care about the children and invest a lot in their education and development. The community atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

We’ve been involved with Wesley for 17 years between our 2 girls. We absolutely love the school and the families. It’s a wonderful atmosphere!

I have two students attending. They are having a wonderful educational experience. They are doing well in academics and enjoying athletics.

The school seems to have gone through a transitional year last year, but persevered. The academics are strong, teachers are caring and campus is large and safe. Classes are small enough for individual attention.

My family has been at Wesley Academy for 5 years. We have had a wonderful experience with the staff and other families who attend. Our daughter is growing academically, spiritually, and socially. Her teachers are always willing and available to talk with us and communicate her progress. We have made many friendships with other families and truly feel like this is a loving and supportive environment. I would recommend Wesley Academy to other families looking for a great school in West Houston.

Teacher retention is at an all time low. They are not retaining the good teachers meanwhile keeping the teacher that should not be retained.Additionally, their is a small clique of parents on the board and also on PTO who control the school and it's not a healthy environment when any concerns arise. It leads to issues not getting resolved successfully as said persons are extremely defensive. We were there for years and it just got worse. They couldn't keep a head of school either.

In spite of some issues earlier this year, the teachers and staff have been committed to our children in making sure that their education was always on the fore front and undisturbed! My children are happy, well adjusted, thriving students at Wesley. I am apalled at the parent review who accuses the school of stealing her child's support money! We were present in every single meeting and not once was it mentioned that we would get reimbursed! When the possibility of the school closure was announced, they said if parents chose to withdraw from the school, they would not be held to their contracts, period. I think it speaks volumes that even when we were given that option, only one family left. Wesley families are a close community. We love our teachers and staff and that love is reciprocated!

My daughter has attended Wesley Academy for eight years and she continues to thrive here. Teachers give her extra help when she needs it and push her when they know she can do better. The school has struggled with leadership and marketing, but it has not affected the classroom, where academics are strong.

Our first 2 years (2nd and 3rd grade) at Wesley were great. But the 3rd year (4th grade) was a disaster. They only had 3 third grade students so instead of hiring a teacher for them they lumped them in with our 4th grade class. Then the class had 3 teachers that year...most of the year was taught by a substitute. The children missed most of the planned curriculum for the year. Definitely not worth the tuition we paid but the friends we made and knowing the teacher we would have for 5th grade, plus the promises of the faculty that we would not have a combined class this year convinced us to stay there. Well that was until the board announced just before Christmas that they would close the school at the end of the school year! They held a parent meeting and told us that they would allow us to break our contracts and refund our tuition if we chose to find a new school before the end of the year. We felt that this was just another huge distraction for our daughter who was already behind thanks to the debacle the year before. So right after the Christmas break we put her in public school. We had to hire a tutor to help her catch up to them!! Now, after I have moved my child to a new school, and had to pay a tutor to fix the lousy education the school has given my child, the board has changed their minds and decided to allow the school to stay open and because of this, they also decided to go back on their word and denied my request for a refund of the balance of our tuition for the year! They sited the contract that I signed and said that it didn't matter that they made a public offer to refund the tuition! So beware, the board of this school and First Methodist Houston care more about keeping your tuition money, which btw, came from my daughter's child support money, than they do about keeping their word and living the "christian" values they are supposed to represent and teach your children! I give 2 stars for the friendly students/parents and the teachers who care.

Here lies the unprecedented formula for an academic foundation rich in character, faith and knowledge. We offer a stellar early childhood education beginning with children as early as six months old. Our curriculum builds to meet the needs of students in Elementary School and continues to prepare our Middle School students for top high schools in the area. With class sizes small enough to offer personalized instruction, qualified and experienced educators, and core Christian values, you and your child will feel right at home.

We've been apart of the Wesley community for over 10 years. With 2 children attending there. They love and nurture your kids, and provide a safe and secure learning environment for them to thrive. They bring each child along to their full potential by differentiating instruction in the classroom to reach each child. Every child learns differently, and Wesley understands that. Lots of individual attention is given to the kids because they keep the class sizes small. There is no "teaching to the test" , they do benchmark testing every year. The kids respect and really care about one another. As parents, you are definitely part of your child's education. The teachers want to hear from you and welcome it. You build a relationship with the teachers all for the success of your child. The parents are warm and welcoming, you really become a family there, teachers, students and parents.
