I strongly disagreed with many St. Anne reviews here and was quite frankly shocked, so I felt obliged to pen a review. My kids are actually happy to go to school!I am incredibly pleased with my experience at St. Anne, where all three of my children are enrolled. St. Anne excels in so many areas, and it has been a wonderful place for my kids to grow academically, socially, and spiritually. First and foremost, the academic program is outstanding. The dedicated teachers work hard to provide a challenging yet nurturing environment. The school offers solid resources, including updated textbooks, technology, and enrichment programs that help each child reach their full potential. I feel confident knowing that my children are getting a high-quality education that will set them up for success in the future.The religious foundation is another key aspect that makes this school special. The Catholic values are woven into daily life, and my children have had the opportunity to grow in their faith through prayer, Mass, and service projects. It's clear that the school is committed to nurturing both the intellectual and spiritual growth of its students, which is a top priority for our family.The school also has a strong culture of kindness and respect. The staff fosters an environment of inclusivity where each child feels valued and supported. This sense of community extends beyond the classroom and creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere for students and parents. We feel safe and secure knowing the school has strong protocols to ensure everyone's safety and well-being.The school has nice facilities. The classrooms are well-equipped and spacious, and plenty of outdoor areas for children to play and explore. The school also invests in maintaining clean, modern spaces, which adds to the overall positive experience.As for athletics, while the sports programs have not been the school's strongest suit in the past, but there is a new athletic director this year, and we are hopeful for improvements in this area. The food could also be improved, but as with any school, there are drawbacks, and issues occasionally arise, but the school generally addresses most issues. Overall, St. Anne has been a wonderful choice for our family, and I am so grateful for the excellent education, strong sense of community, and faith-filled environment it provides. I highly recommend it to any family looking for a supportive, well-rounded educational experience for their children.

Where do I start… I could pull examples of the poor administration staff and safety issues by listing the multiple times I arrived on campus to pick up my children, only to be told that they “didn’t know where they were…” Yes, you read that right, the school lost my children on more than one occasion. I could use the example of when I contacted the administration, including the principal, requesting a meeting to discuss how my son was being bullied (to the point of suicidal thoughts) yet I was left out of the meeting however, if course they made sure to include my ex husband… even though I requested the meeting. They also didn’t bother to fill me in afterward. I can also say that members of the teaching staff overstepped boundaries by gifting my daughter “presents” of which she was told she didn’t “need to tell her mom,” about. Which I found odd. I also find it inexcusable that my children often say they ask the teachers for help (especially upper level math classes 7th and 8th grade) and the teachers typically blow them off with a snarky comment or two. Their school Lunch program is nothing short of a joke. The lack of nutritional value and options leave little to be desired… and just forget about it if your child has an allergy. There is absolutely no leadership and important events like 8th grade graduation have last minute changes literally the day of said event. The technology is from the dark ages, so the necessary changes during and after covid have been maddening. The over attitude by the staff and administration is poor and very “cliquey”… think mean girls but hidden under the guise of “Catholic principles.” Due to the switch in leadership about four years ago, the overall direction of the school has gone downhill at an alarming rate. It also due to this same change than many of the caring and well established teaching staff has left and in its place are much less experienced teachers who don’t have the same regard for guiding young humans. They say An organization rots from the head… in this case I can definitely confirm that is the case at St. Anne’s. It has become a disgrace to be quite honest and I am extremely relieved that at least one of my three children has now moved past this establishment… just a few more years and my other two will be on their way as well, and hopefully learning in a better environment.

I am a student here and its not that good. Especially the new lunch here because the milk is frequently expired and when I was eating their fried chicken it was bloody and raw. On top of that several teachers are thoroughly incompetent. Kids have been taking Spanish here since Pre K 3 and know nothing. And the religion classes especially for the younger students are incredibly boring and do not make kids even a little-bit interested in their faith. So No I do not recommend this school.

After fourth grade, the teachers are mediocre at best. The administration is not especially competent, and are unwilling to acknowledge their mistakes.

As a former student and father to a child that graduated from there, I am sad to say that I would no recommend this school. However, the problem is not with the teachers or the physical school itself, the problem is with the head of the administration. St. Anne School’s philosophy and mission is to “provide a Catholic atmosphere” and “to model gospel values in [their] actions as educators and administrators”, unfortunately, none of this provided by the principal. Always criticizing and chastising fellow teachers and administrators shows a great lack of professionalism and leadership in this school. In the “Principle’s Greeting”, she describes the atmosphere as “welcoming and nurturing”, however; that is not the feeling you get. A position of leadership should be a person that embraces and supports the faculty. It should be a person with a positive attitude with the ability to effectively communicate a structure that actually teaches Goodness, Discipline, and Knowledge. The famous proverb from Gospel of Luke states, “Treat others the same way you want them to treat you” is not only relevant to a principle’s position, but to every position in that school. Not everyone is treated with respect there, and that needs to change immediately.

I don't know where to start! I have been a student at St. Anne's for almost ten years. Right now I am an eighth grader here, and I have loved every moment of it. I have met so many friendly and warm people here, and have found it really easy to make friends! considering the fact that i'm not that great at making friends. The teachers are really nice and have pretty good teaching skills and have all been teaching for a while, so they're really experienced. There are also a lot of clubs and sports you can join that are really fun. I love the diversity and the opportunity to grow in my faith here at this great school. I DEFINITELY reccomend St. Anne Catholic School. I'm so sad to leave next year because i'm going to leave this wonderful community and all of the strong friendships I've made through this journey.

overall its been a good experience for my student. The school views the kids as students, rather than test takers and a statistic. the ethnic make up of this schools is very diverse. the curriculum seems to be on par now with other schools, especially middle schools. A few teachers could use a little imagination in their class however nothing wrong with a strong core program. there are a group of parents that want to run the school as their personal school. Perhaps the Admin caves in to these whiney parents / kids at times. However these kinds of parents appear in all schools, public schools too. AKA the helicopter parents- they are everywhere.

as a parent of a student cuurently enrolled here, i have to agree that on the surface the school is extremely wonderful.....the teachers and staff are of the highest caliber, truly dedicated to their positions, but since the absence of strong dedication to diversity and the mission statement of the church community at large, the school seems to have been taken over be group rich , self entitled parents who would like nothing better than to "exclusivy" the campus. Hopefully administration and strong pastoral consuling, along with a new pope and a renewed call to humility, will keep this in check. That being said, in all honesty, I give the school itself the highest recommendation. It would be my wish that all children could attend such a school.

Extremely nice on the surface, but over time - and once the curtain is pulled back - it was revealed that there are serious and fundamental leadership and directional issues which we found to be contrary to the stated goals. There are both teachers and administration who are fully incompetent. A small handful of parents really run the show, and their spoiled kids generally get what they want. I wish it were different, but I can not recommend St Anne's.

Attended this school during the 1960's. At that time as it remains now, it is one of the top 3 private schools in Houston. This school boast as graduates many physicians, attorneys and professional men and women..
