We love our school! I have two kids there now in 2nd and 4th grade. They have been there since kindergarten. The principal really strives to make sure the kids and teachers feel supported. The school has a diamond rating (the highest) for family engagement and it shows through with all the events put on welcoming families to the campus!

When my son first started, it wasn't very good. It seemed to not run very well, for the parents, that is. They were great with the students. Now that the new principal is in, she's done some great things and it feels more like a well run school.

We have been very happy with Daily. Principal Khaliq is enthusiastic and dedicated to her students education. Any time I have had a question for her directly, she has responded with in hours. My sons teachers have really done well with him. He loves school and loves learning thanks to Daily!

Long time Daily parent. Our experience has been great and we’re engaged in the school with volunteer activities. The staff and Admin work hard to help our children and our children keep growing academically!

I am a proud Ray K Daily parent. I have a 3rd grader and a Kindergartner. We have been a part of the Dragon family going on 4 years now and the school has been very supportive, the teachers are communicative. Principal Khaliq is intentional about the educational experience for the students. There is an active PTO. We love the diversity and we are very happy with our experiences at Ray K Daily.

We have been part of this school since Kindergarten, and now we have a grown-up 5th grader! We truly love our school! From Ms. Khaliq, the principal, to the amazing administrative staff, and of course, our wonderful 5th-grade teachers, Ms. Dominguez and Ms. Brewer. The entire staff is incredible, giving their all to our students. They are always smiling, kind, and effective in maintaining discipline. As a proud member of the PTO Squad, I’ve witnessed firsthand the love and dedication that goes into making this school the best it can be. Thank you for everything! We recommend this school 100%. Proudly Dragons!

My son has been enrolled at Ray K Daily for the last three years. He is thriving. The teachers and staff truly care about the well rounded learning experience. Principal Khaliq makes sure that parents are informed and works to build a school community. I am an active member of the PTO which shows how much the Principal supports parent involvement. The teachers care and communicate often. Ms. Pena is incredibly supportive with wraparound services for students, parents, and teachers.

Our family was pleasantly surprised with our first year at Daily. The teachers are working so hard and doing so much for these kids. They run a tight ship and give every student an opportunity to grow. I'm so thankful to have these wonderful teachers and staff in my neighborhood school.

My daughter has went to daily for the last 3 years. The lack of professionalism from the teacher and no accountability is why I moved here. They can't seem to retain quality teachers. I love the area but it's very concerning to see what the school is becoming.

My daughter has told her teacher numerous times that she is being bullied, called names and pushed around. Nothing is being done at all. I'm shocked because she is a mother herself. Would you like that to happen to your children and their teacher do nothing at all like you? The worst school ever. I honestly wouldn't recommend this school to anybody at all.

Not only was I cursed out on the first day by a fellow parent for stealing her spot, but I was also called some awful names in front of multiple children, Ray Daily employees, and other parents. That left a very sour taste in my mouth and I have not yet had anything good come to make me change my mind about this school. From other talks with other parents, I was told their children were placed into ESL classes simply based ON THEIR LAST NAME! How disrespectful! I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone, really. I truly hope they raise their standards and hire better teachers and school leaders!

This school has very mean and rude employees, hopefully HISD consider these reviews,I have heard from several parents about very immpolite behavior in this school, the school principle should have more observation of her employees and the way they act.

This message is in direct response to the previous post that was made by a teacher. Now, since standardized testing is the "latest" trend in evaluating a child's success, why would it not be disconcerting that only 3 were able to pass an exam be it the district level assessment or STAAR? I know the passing rates as confirmed by the teacher. Also, I can speak about the fundraisers, because I support them EVERY TIME. It not the $ I have a problem with, but into what have these efforts manifested? Am I exaggerating about the lack of field trips, the non-existent music program, the fact that there's yet to be any creative program put on by the kids this yet to date? Then to boot, you dismiss me and tell my I should seek out a private education if I am so unhappy. Wow! My mother is teacher in the same district and has been for nearly 2 decades. In fact I come from a family of educators, administrators, and civil servants. So yeah, I know how difficult a teacher's job can be. I never once bashed the teachers in any way. I just gave my opinion on how I believe the program to be run, which I am entitled to based on my and my child's experience. Thanks anyway!

The state exam hasn't been given yet so how do you know your child is only one of three? If you were more aware you would know that it was a District Level Assessment! And the fundraisers are to help the school be able to provide more materials and activities for the students. Why don't you seek out The Village School or John Paul since you're so unhappy, because teacher's jobs are hard enough without unsupportive parents!!!!!

School is neat clean and organized always. Teachers really seem to care. We are very happy with the student dress code, discipline and teacher professionalism of teachers. Have had only one negative experience with one teacher.(Everyone has a bad day sooner or later). We do spend a lot of time with our child and their studies, and we do not expect teachers to raise our child. It seems to be a great partnership with this school. I do wish they would lay off the fundraisers. Gene

Before my daught attended this school, I had concerns due to the fact she would be a minority. Great Teachers!! Our daughter has been there three years- Kindergaten, 1st and now 2nd. All three years the teachers have been sharp hard workers. The keep discipline in the class and are no-nonsense. My daughter has enjoyed learning at Ray K Daily.
