My Daughter is learning at rapid speeds which is phenomenal I just need the school to into the extra help that's required for her which is speech therapy been wait for her to get that help for way to long if you don't get the help she needs now I can see that being severely damaging to her education in the near future

It took leaving the state and attending an award-winning school (top 5% in our state) to realize how behind my children were thanks to Post Elementary School. Poor quality educators (most do not care!), zero to non-existent after school enrichment activities for the kids, zero intervention programs, and constants disruptions caused by poorly behave kids sums up our experience. Do yourself a favor and do not enroll your kids here. We regretfully spent some critical forming years at this school, never again!

If I could assign ZERO stars; I would. This school is toxic. Do not send your children here unless you have no other option.

Take your children to a safer place. Post Elementary has a toxic culture that devalues and demeans diversity. Principal Kilday is unresponsive to parent concerns and has refused to make changes to protect students. We have met with her numerous times over the years begging that our children not be subjected to the religious displays she mandates, all to no avail. My children's teachers seem unhappy, isolated, and afraid. Fear should not be a factor on any public school campus, but at Post fear silences educators and negatively impacts the learning environment. Harmony is a better choice.

Excellent principal and staff members. Teachers make it clear that they are accessible should parents want to know how their kids are progressing. Daily and weekly progress reports and notes allow parents to follow their kids' progression. As an example, my son's 2nd grade teacher mentioned that he was not being attentive and not finishing his work in the reports early in the school year. After a few discussions, he mentioned a couple kids at his table make it difficult for him to focus. The teacher shuffle the students and solved the problem.

Because of the PE class at Post, my three children, who are students at Post, helped me stop smoking. They said they didn't want my lungs to turn black and me to die early. The PE teacher (Coach Ibrahim I think) taught them how much physical activity they should have a day, the effects of being overweight and smoking and many other things. I appreciate this. We have moved every year to different places in Post school zone, because I want my children to stay there.

I love this school. My daughter is in 4th grade & has been a student since Kinder, & my son just started Kinder. The teachers & staff are so friendly. They are always willing to help in any way they can. They really motivate these kids. We had a problem w/a bully once but the teacher was quick to correct the issue & kept a watchful eye on my child. I also love the after school program. So much fun all around.

My son entered this school for the 2010-11 school year as a kindergartener, and he absolutely loves going to school! His teachers stay in communication via notes and/or phone calls, and he is challenged by his school work. At one point my son was having a problem on his bus, so I sent a note asking for a resolution. That day I received a call from the assistant principal, as well as his teacher, and both of them went with my son to the bus to resolve the issue. I have found all of the staff to be very helpful, and cheerful, especially the school secretary, whom always manages to remember the parent/child and the name of the teacher! I am so happy my son is a Post Patriot!
