I Will Say not all the teachers and staff here are terrible, My student has had a few good teachers who are patient and know how to work with kids. This is the first year I’ve been supper involved and coming to visit during lunch hours and I’ve noticed that A LOT of these teachers should not be teachers or staff here. They yell and scream and the only time they don’t is when the principal is around to save their jobs. They don’t allow these kids to be kids, IE talking at lunch, applauding their fellow classmates on stage, ect. Be weary of sending your kids here and not being involved cause you’ll be oblivious to it. Nothing is ever done with formal complaints, teachers/staff treat children TERRIBLY and no one corrects them about it.

I would give it zero if I could. I’m not a parent, but the older sister of a student who attended. Her time at the school was good UNTIL third grade when she had this horrid teacher who, by the first week, already got on my sister and her friend for missing their bus when she was playing a loud movie, saying they were talking when they weren’t and pulling my sisters arm hard to take her to the bus. Her teacher also took it out on ALL her students when one student did something wrong and was very unjust. Besides that bad apple, my sister also had a hard time with other rude staff too. She has stomach acid that’s so bad, she starts to cry and we’re trying to get it checked out, but when she’d tell the teachers about it or another injury like when she pulled a muscle, they never believed her or even called my mom. She was one of the unlucky kids who had to stop in the middle of the year because of the pandemic and her entire last months, her and other students had it hammered into their head that they were UNGRATEFUL and didn’t deserve an end of the year celebration because during a fundraiser, the kids weren’t visibly EXCITED enough for the prizes, which were cheap, poorly-made wrist bands that easily broke apart. Just wow.

I experienced nothing but greatness at this school. The principal is awesome, my child's teachers were awesome, and I don't have a negative thing to say! Great job Principal Wilson

My daughter started at Bang in the first grade. That year was amazing, as was her second grade year. However, her third and fourth grade years were terrible. The administration was blocking out all parent involvement and volunteering. The PTO seemed to being to work against the parents instead of with. There was a number of troubling discipline problems. My daughter and son never had an altercation that needed discipline but several of my friend's children did. The way the teachers and admin approached them was disgusting!!!!! I am glad we are moving to Bulverde, TX so my children do not have to attend Bang after this year.

Both my kids attend Bang. We have been here for three years now and really like the administrations and teacher we've had.

They have a new rule about the kids in transportation if you're not their to pick your kids up they're going to let them off anyway even if they're in pre-k ..I have a problem with this because my son is in pre-k and if I'm running late I expect for the bus to take him back to the school NOT LET MY FOUR YEAR OLD OFF BY HIMSELF ! It's not safe & I'm not going to chance it , && some of the staff is rude I will NOT tolerate it, I'm withdrawing my son you have been warned about this

This school provides an excellent learning atmosphere for teaching and learning. Expectations are high for students and staff.

This was not a good school When I went here the teachers were so mean and they were always punishing us for stuff some people didn't do. The classes are cramped and the outside playground is to dangerous. Because I skid my knee when I was outside last year (5th grade) and when I went up to a teacher he said why aren't you walking the track? Staff is mean, not good security when you are bullied, and not god administration team! And there was lot ps of bulling

My child was ill and was not allowed to call me or come home. Her teacher did not believe she was ill. Teachers are into your business and home life. Staff are grumpy. Hard to get a call back from the school. Sad situation here

This school is the worst school I have ever had to deal with. I have two children that attend. One teacher is so noisy and asks way to many personal questions. The other teacher neglects my child's needs. The school tries to deny your child services and try to down grade you. If your child is on special education stay away from this school.

Not really a good school, mostly interested in just herding the kids in and out... at least, that's my impression. Not much parent involvement, I found myself having to call them to find out what's going on. Plus, they aren't having an end-of-year party this year. I truly do not understand that. With the exception of a couple teachers and the nurse, I am not pleased. There are better schools out there.

All three of my children LOVE this school! I love our principal and staff. I love that my children are eager to go to school and they hug all of their teachers because they love them so much.

Recently moved back to TX and were excited to get back into CFISD. Both of my daughters got A's/B's on their report card and both read at levels beyond their current grade. Sounds good, right? It took a lot of time and effort to ensure they got these grades. We work with our kids every evening, check online grades couple of times a week, look for additional resources online, and correspond with the teachers as needed. Even with all of this, we find that when our girls do poorly (below a 70) on a test, the things they get wrong are not indicative of the homework they were given. I have been told by more one than one staff member that the District sends tests and assessments they have to give, and these materials often have a lot of emphasis on things they will need to know for the next grade (even though we are less than 1/2 way through the current grade). I am all about teaching children to push themselves and succeed, and I know schools are funded based on test scores/ratings. There needs to be balance between this and ensuring children are successful/well-rounded. The teachers work hard, and I appreciate all they do. I'm just not sure the overall system is functioning properly.

My son started kindergarden 2010 and went there for about a week. He had a concussion on the playground and went to the nurse. Then he went back to his empty classroom unescorted.... he eventually wandered out of the building. This is what happens when the people you trust neglect your child!!! A stranger called me who had found my son across the street. Thank God he knew my phone number. We took him to the hospital... found out he had a concussion. We withdrew him from school and moved. Bang elementary is going downhill... I do NOT recommend sending your child here.
