Ermel is not invested in children's longterm success. They are in it for the numbers. Shuffle the kids through each grade and get as much funding as possible. Homework is based on completion, not accuracy. Spelling is not essential (direct quote). Teachers talk politics to the students, and less than zero effort is put into shaping the kids for success. Now, some of the teachers are very nice. I'm not speaking about their character as people. However, The school is not designed for education. It takes a bare minimum approach to learning and I am very disappointed.

My son attended K - 4th, all his teachers were devoted and kind to him. System is not perfect, I have never found any major issues. When accidents occur they are the first to reach out to me vs me finding out some other way. The teachers i have dealt with have always been happy to support and work with me as a parent.
